Kit must come with 3" intakes

Hey max I was going to ask what made aam competition go with the Borg warner efr turbos rather than Garrett or Precision turbos, besides trying to make the kit a OEM style turbo kit?

Taken from the OP,

Quote:

Q - What size is the intercooler tubing?
A - To achieve lightning fast response and maximum power we utilize 2 x 2.5" tubing from the turbochargers to the intercooler. This is the optimal size to keep the system pressurized and limit the pressure drop, but big enough to sustain high HORSEPOWER. The intercooler piping post intercooler (from the intercooler to the engine/throttle bodies) is twin 2 ¾" light weight aluminum piping which is fully polished for "show car" quality look.

Maybe I missed it but do you have to remove the motor for the install?? Also at power levels you tested how did the stock MAF's hold up or is it safe to say aftermarket MAF's would need to be purchased??

It seems your question was already answered by this awesome community, but to confirm Yes - your engine WILL have to be removed for installation of the AAM Competition Twin Turbocharger System.

Our media department converted the numbers to engine HP and that was Ridefamous (Rid3_FaM0uS)- 740ish to the wheels. We will see him back here in a few months to push the barrier even more.

Edit: added correct forum name Rid3_FaM0uS

Oh - let's let him share that information - not sure if he wants the info out yet as the build is not complete.

We ran into an issue with his previously boost controller which prevented us from pushing it any further, but we were well on pace for 800+ WHP
