can this kit be diy'd? Is there a manual?

i dont know if it can be done without lowering the motor out of the vehicle.

Dyno graphs to come for the guys who were here at the shop, my apologies for the delays. Should have everything wrapped up today and email you guys your dyno graphs before the end of the day.

Would love to get some independent dyno results as well, but they wouldn't really be "independent" if I arrange them would it?

jwick 11-10-2014 12:31 PM

True. But we do have one member having the kit installed at Z1, so we should be getting an independent dyno from there.

I have had 3 customers do this in their own garage, but as Robert mentioned you will have to drop the engine out of the vehicle so without engine mount/vehicle lift it would be challenging.

Z1, Specialty Z, Z Car Garage and Hammer Performance have all received kits for installation.

With SEMA being next week I would assume some of these builds would be starting soon and we/you (community) should start seeing results other than from our shop.

Sweet sounds good Max. And very good point it would not be independent than. But trust me it feels every bit of 500whp/380tq

Awesome! And by no means am I knocking your kit, just like to see independent results.

I'm a VQ lover so always down for platform development :tiphat:

^ When Max sends me my kit you will see it at JTran, but my car is just a VQ35HR... ;)

Sweet! Always down for another member of the boosted and JTran family!

My car will be there early December for some 'work' ;)

^ That's when I'm thinking my car should be there too unless I'm bumped up the list somehow (Max or Jason? :leghump:).

Regardless, we will definitely have to link up!

You are not bumped, we would just prefer getting an identical vehicle in here to test fitment on before we ship you something that might cause headaches during installation. One of our main goals was to have a true "bolt-on" turbocharger system available across the entire Z/G community. By putting some extra time into the R & D portion and if needed, creating a separate part number (with different piping, etc...) for vehicles that require different parts we hope to make this as easy to install as possible.

The only platform which I see some major changes being needed are for the RHD vehicles overseas.

I've been under a G35HR sedan, G37 Coupe and 370Z. They are all the same car from the radiator back in the areas that one would be concerned with on fitting a tubro setup. There are some differences post y-pipe.

Id imagine that possibly the intercooler, intercooler piping and mounting locations would be different as all 3 have different bumpers and the openings are all different on them

That's good information right there.

:iagree:

The Z and the G are obviously different but the 35HR sedan and G37 coupe aren't. My Gen3 intake from my coupe fit the 35HR sedan with no issues or mods. I also put the first BP kit on a G with very little modification needed.

Outside the shape of the bumper there really aren't any significant differences.

Don't get me wrong there are small differences here and there just not in the areas one would be concerned in bolting in a turbo kit, at least radiator back.

ROBERT hit is on the head. Intercooler and IC piping beyond the radiator might need a little massaging.
