Did you guys use the included AC lines or just reuse the original? I initially planned to use the CSF lines, but found them to be about 1 inch too long where they connect to the quick disconnect fitting and did not fit well at all. I just switched back to the OEM lines and they fit perfectly. Given these issues, I'll be doing a vacuum check before having the AC recharged.

So I pulled 30mmHg of vacuum from the AC system, but that only lasted 15 minutes. Checked lines - looked ok. Thanks to Super Werty for pointing me to the O-ring on the AC reservoir/dryer. When I installed the low pressure sensor, I left the OEM O-ring in place.
When I checked it, it was deformed (the sensor was not overtightened). I replaced the OEM O-ring with the green O-ring supplied by CSF (it was on the bolt originally installed on the reservoir/dryer). The low pressure sensor tightened perfectly and without deformation of the O-ring. My AC system is now holding 30mmHg of vacuum for the last several hours. The system will be recharged within the next few days, hopefully without any leaks. |

So I have now confirmed that the issues with my system are the connections to the condenser. Apparently both connections are leaking. Looks like I have the same issue as someone else had. Not sure if I am using the OEM lines or the CSF lines.

Hey guys I just got my Triple pass installed yesterday. It took them two days because they blew out the ac line. The also had trouble getting the new fittings on. They said that the lines were really hard to get on. All in all its on and my car run's a lot cooler. very happy with it. The ac is also great too. LIke a ice box brr

Since this thread is in the Forced Induction section I am going to try and hijack it.
I've been told that putting a wider radiator in to a car with an intercooler and large oil cooler is not a good thing, that someone here did that and had a lot of issues. Something about there not being enough room between the rows of things that need cooling for the air to flow correctly. Anyone have any experience with that? Also, CSF, you never called me. Did you find someone for SEMA? |
Arrvaxx, have not heard that, maybe under high heat/load you could cause temps to rise quickly as airflow is restricted.
The goal is to increase capacity & cooling because you have an intercooler, and possibly other coolers, prior to the radiator so the radiator needs to be more efficient and larger. |
I'd really like to get CSF to sponsor a test with my car and see if the triple pass overcomes any air restriction issues. HINT!

While the new CSF radiator seems to be doing a great job, the CSF condenser has proven problematic for several of us early adopters. Hopefully our issues will lead people to really test the AC connections when installing. In my car, the system held vacuum overnight just fine and then held pressure overnight fine. However, after running for approximately a week, all of the refrigerant leaked out via the condenser connections. In my car the OEM AC lines were used because the CSF lines do not fit well.
Edit: CSF called me today and is working with me to get this problem solved. I will update this thread with what we figure out. Big thanks to Seb@SZ for continuing to help me troubleshoot this issue and offering to go above and beyond to get it fixed. |
