Damn this is tempting! Hey Sasha,how far can the torque be dialed down when pushing about 450 horse? I only ask because I would be Leary of running on stock

Hey Sasha,how far can the torque be dialed down when pushing about 450 horse? I only ask because I would be Leary of running on stock internals and wouldn't be able to afford a rebuild.

From what I've seen of people on this forum so far I wouldn't be worried about running 450 WHP on stock internals. There was one guy who beats on his car and had 570 whp for around 20k miles, and then upped it to 671, and the only issue he had was the CSC (which people have had stock)

Had a 2010 WRX- boy was it quick in a straight line, got a 2014 Z- man is she grippy in the corners-- then left the Z and later got a GTI, now back in an 09 racecar Z! |

Set it at 8psi and don't worry, be happy. And you will be. If it lets go at that psi level then it wasn't because of too much power.

Can a guy use RTV on the header flange to xpipe to ensure a good seal? I can't get the berk gaskets as they are on backorder and have been since the beginning of December. I was thinking of using my old ones with a little RTV or the ultra copper permatex.
Is there a problem with this?
