I agree, they must be running into alot of problems. I'll play it safe with you and go TT.

puckshaw 02-15-2010 08:40 PM

:rofl2: Are you guys serious? I can't believe how impatient some of you are. There are bound to be some hurdles in bringing a kit like this to market. Hang in there and I'm sure it'll be worth it.

LoL. Sam just posted on Saturday, said he had some problems with a leaky intercooler, I'm sure he prob took Sunday off, so it's only Monday.
I"m still in

I must say though, I'm curious why the TT kits came to market sooner than the supercharger systems, TT's are much more mechanical intensive builds...

theDreamer 02-15-2010 08:51 PM

TT kits sale, big numbers (big price tag).
Plus I think with the design of the 3.7 it made the SC setups a bit tougher to design a good, solid, powerful setup and added some R&D time.

I feel twin turbos are far more appealing to the import market than supercharger kits, hence why they seem to appear first.

Coming from the domestic market, supercharger kits were always the first on the market.

JB-370z 02-15-2010 09:51 PM

....... What - Ev

fstrnldr 02-15-2010 10:37 PM

Twin turbo kit came out sooner because they had all ready done it on the G37 over a year before the Z34 chassis debuted. As far as the SC having problems, i would guess some of you guys aren't used to seeing the info as it becomes available. usually the companies just wait until the product is ready to sell before giving ANY info on it.

B1nks 02-15-2010 10:39 PM

Yeah that and the dual throttle body had people scratching their heads for a while to figure out a way to do the SC setup.

^^^ are you guys f'ing serious!?!?!? Keep your panties on fellas! Sam doesnt post in 48hrs (over a holiday weekend no less!) and you monkeys say the thread has died, there must be problems with the S/C, blah blah :bowrofl:

It's a monumental R&D undertaking to put something like this SC to market (1st may I add) so take it easy, be patient, and the let the pros do their job. We should be fortunate that GTM has told us ANYTHING prior to the official release.

Brazilbro 02-15-2010 11:24 PM

:iagree: 3 day weekend.. I dont plan on anything untill friday.

terrycs 02-16-2010 02:59 PM

New builds always take a lot longer than expected. It took them about 8 months to get their TT into my G sedan even though they already had it running on their G coupe.

Fitting a SC is a lot more complicated. In addition to plumbing and other stuff, new brackets need to be designed and machined. A TT "just" requires plumbing.;)
