I was right...Pablo IS NOT ALLOWED to talk to anyone about the status of their order. I called GTM and Pablo answered the phone he immediately said 'hold on, I'll transfer you to Sam'. I told him I didn't want to talk to Sam I wanted to know what was going on with the pipes FROM HIM. My gut says Sam was in the same room with Pablo when I called. Next thing I know Sam was on the phone. They just picked up the pipes and will be shipped today. That means probably Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest. I'm hoping I can pick the car up by Friday.:eekdance: |
This is unnecessary stress, and I feel ya. I've never driven an SC'd Z, so I don't know what it feels like. At least 450whp from 260-280 whp is great especially if you get it to sound great with all that power. What's nice is that you don't have to mash the throttle and drive wreckless to enjoy the sound and feeling. With my car half throttle in 2nd at 5 PSI doesn't sound like much, but it's enough to have fun and be safe. On cold days, that's enough to fish tail.

Update
There was an oil fitting missing off the original shipment. Bobby called Sam last week and asked him to include this fitting when he shipped the pipes. It showed up but it won't fit. Bobby called GTM and they're trying to find another one. Even if they find something and next-day it to Tampa it won't be here till Monday. It then still has to be tuned/dyno'd. I have to work Monday and my wife has major surgery on Tuesday so I don't know when or how the f*ck I'm going to be able to pick it up now. When Bobby called I asked him how things were going and there was dead silence and then he said 'not good'. My *** puckered so fast I could of snapped a tree limb in half. The only thing that came to my mind was that the motor popped on the dyno.
Bobby is trying his best to come up with a solution if they send another part that doesn't fit. Sam could f*ck up the nicest dream, between him and my bad luck I'll be lucky to get my car at all. If this sh*t don't end soon I'm gonna have a stroke with all the other crap happening in my life.:shakes head: |
Anytime you deal with gtm will be Very stressful so go ahead and count on that. What part are you needing?

Yeah, I wouldn't even bother with GTM for that. There's got to be somewhere local you can source fittings.

I live an hour away from VSR. I could pick up the ride if u want ;)

Saw your ride last weekend when I picked up my car. Sucks to see what you gotta go through. Did they get your plumbing yet? Btw that exhaust work was very nice underneath. Made me jealous.. I need some sort of exhaust where this turbo can really breathe.

As long as all the parts are in, assembled, and ready for a tune, no need to rush. This is where you want to make sure the work is done well so you don't have to come back for minor stuff. The only thing I had to get done was re-torque the oil lines. It's good to get those lines checked on your next oil change.
|
Well I hope you get her back soon man! DIGI is right though.. The minor stuff can be headaches :/
|
Look at it this way... Your time from parts arrival to finished product is well ahead of schedule for something like this. Hell for a GTM product it might be Guinness Book of World Records worthy. Seriously check into that..
