Are you running stock driveshaft and axles?

Gotcha. The selection of 16 inch drag wheels to 15s is insane. 16s are almost non existent compared to 15s. I might get a set of base 350 brakes. Would you recommend running those as for a street car? I really wouldn't want to switch brakes every weekend. I just don't have the time and patience lol

On my 350z I had the 14" stoptechs front and rear. when running the small brakes in the rear, on the street, i could not even feel a difference.

but i would recommend going somewhere safe to practice some hard braking and get a feel for the new F/R brake ratio and make sure its stable. With ABS it shouldnt be much an issue but I would still get a feel for it and see whats what before going out racing.

on my 350 z 2003 i have 15 inch rims on the base brake package.
not sure of the back spacing.

Yeah true. My ideal setup for the street/strip would be the stock akebono front, and the base 350z rear with whatever pads and rotors I end up choosing? Does that sound like a OK setup to you? Are the 350 base brakes a direct fit for the 370?

phunk 03-17-2014 02:36 PM

That is the setup I am running... well except I have stoptech pads and rotors in my akebono.

I hear they are a direct fit... I will find out soon enough! Considering people put the 370 rears on the 350z, it should go both ways.

Sweet deal man. Great minds think alike lol. I'll add you as a friend and when I'm ready to make the switch I'll send ya a PM and see how they are working for you and if I need to look out for something etc. thanks buddy

Weather here in Chicago is clearing up this week finally. They should be on my car within 2 weeks.

suspension, diff, and tires are where i would start, a proper suspension and LSD setup will get the power down to the ground, and if you want the stickiest street tire available, i know kuhmo makes a DOT approved semislick thats decently priced
