Those videos of "Joe" are insane! I didn't watch them all and all of the video but I find it hard to believe this was actually shipped to a customer as a brand new kit. I mean any company that would push a product like that out the door wouldn't be in business. It really looks like a used kit was given to him. Especially from the way it was packaged.

I am not trying to defend GTM cause I could care less but come on...could this legitimately be for real? They would seriously have to TRY to bend pipes, scratch pipes and produce horrible welds, gouges, rust, etc.

Oh yeah. I saw Sam in person over 6 times and his voice on the phone cannot be mistaken. Only 2 guys that I talked to from GTM tons of times over the past 2 years : Sam and Mike. I have never talked to George though, not that I can remember.

I saw those boxes and shook my head myself. If you look at them closely, there is no other way those part would fit if it had a lot of good packaging. You see its not cheap to ship to Guam. Especially big boxes like those. How can DestinyZ use that intercooler without the other boxes of parts? Is he going to purposely scratch his own parts and bend it?

Scratches, bends, things happen in transport when shipped but even then, great companies like Fast Intentions fix issues like this immediately. Time and time agan. But how do you explain oil and metal shavings?

I knew Joe personally, been to his house, saw the parts, seen the issues he dealt with. Heard him talk to Sam. Sam told him his tune was good, joe said it's running really really rich. Sam says no it's good. One month later his car won't start because the plugs are so damn fouled. He made a video of us working outside of a mall pulling his plugs because it wouldn't start. I don't know why he didn't post it.

When ithis debacle was fixed and joe made due and ate the bullet. The kit I itself have him other problems. Joe says at the time JC, let's run our cars and
see if I'm really making power. At this time, I was only running Injen intakes and my then crappy Ark exhaust with a 75 shot and no tune. 1st gear I pull half a car on him, 2nd gear I jump out half a car and kept pulling, 3rd gear a constant slow pull, shift into 4th and I stop, to my surprise I I was about 3 cars+ ahead of him. I'm thinking he may have stopped awhile ago. Till I hit my brakes and see him blow by.....

At that time, I was the second guy who went nitrous using the forum as a reference for users. Those who haven't dealt with them yet. Use caution. When it happens to you don't say you haven't been warned. Those who want to turn a blind eye and have faith good luck. This was posted to show what happened to a member of the community because it was cleaned up a long time ago.

Can we just get those refunds out? Then we can talk about this mess of a marketing failure.

Luckily I had been warned long ago when my tuner said he would never install another GTM kit for a customer again in his life. He said the whole way it was a nightmare. This was years ago. Good thing I caught a whiff of that rotten egg when I did.

My tuner actually said the same thing to me, but being the genius I am I got in the MHI group buy anyways since I'm installing myself :ugh2: Starting to feel like I should've listened to them.

umm for every un-named tuner that will not touch GTM, there are ones like Z1 that would work with them... i wouldn't pass judgement just because of such statements right away... thats really short sighted way to look at things... by the way is the un-named tuner Forged Performance?

am not in the group buy nor i could care less about GTM, but the forum is starting to go to ***** because of the way every single thread, that just because it's related to GTM, becomes a GTM bashing thread... I get it, you have had bad customer service experience with GTM, you bought another kit from another vendor, you feel burned because you bought the more expensive version of their Turbo kit, you have to wait for so long for the MHI to come out, you have to get a refund because you cannot wait anymore for MHI kit for personal/financial reasons, you are being asked to wait for refunds... i get it, i feel for you, and i agree your experience needs to be known... but for the love of god, please don't turn the370z.com to another 350z forum... i mean please by all means just start another thread for that...

cool, my bad, i thought you started the thread to be more constructive with plans... it was cool and informative to initially read through the posts and see what ppl are doing with waste gates and other supporting mods... but you did include a statement to ask ppl about their status on their refunds...

I hope people keep certain companies accountable for their shady business practices. Perhaps this forum wouldn't ever turn 350zish if it weren't for said company leaving bad reputation everywhere. Just check gtm credibility over there. Its time for consumers to get smart.
Throw a few dollars to get paying sponsor title and manipulate mods to clean up and delete bad publicity threads and rake in tons of cash on high priced kits and then $hit on everyone when the cow has been dried up. That JC thread I never heard or saw about. It's stuff like that, that keeo these shady business owner's around here. My350 has perma sticky threads of RA to warn people of shady business owners. Just something to think about.

I dont blame you, it frustrates me to see all that as well, but I guess thats what happens sometimes. Its unfortunate that this all has to happen to so many people, but apparently thats how gtm does business. This thread wasn't made to turn out like this, but several people including me are having a poor experience with gtm, so its good to have this information available for everyone ya know?

in hindsight from my initial post, i take back the stuff about the refunds and have agreed with u and OP that everyone need to share their frustration about the refunds... everyone should and continue to do so because that is unacceptable but more importantly it is helpful with the group buy participants...

Oooor if there is nothing to talk about they could just not post more off topic crap, once you've said what you had to say you could just get on with your life, just a thought. The refund stuff is relevant but seeing as how this is a "Group buy participants" thread and there is like 10 pages of posts by the same people who were told to stay the **** out of the other thread maybe some of you need to exercise a little self control.

Example the cracked manifold stuff, Greddy is known for having manifold issues too, in fact any mass produced turbo kit with cast manifolds has issues, but that is the old kit, there is no evidence either way as to what the all new manifolds will be like so instead of negative speculation why not just wait and see. If the old manifolds had that big of an issue maybe they fixed it in the new ones. Even the current TT kit, just following the review and install threads it used to have fitment issues on the first kits, but now most of the shops installing it say it fits great, and now that they are using a mandrel bender, it's hard to think of a way that it wont since every pipe should be exactly the same as every other one. I had one of the first GTM oil cooler kits when they had an issue with their supplier of the lines, it failed, I had premium crimped lines made at a race shop(which cost more than the kit itself) after one phone call Sam sent me a check for the new lines, and when my motor blew he offered to pay to replace it. Since then, they fixed the lines and you never hear about it since. For as much bad as GTM has done look at the good they do for this platform. They are having issues producing the new kit, it's a very large order and is probably affecting the rest of the business right now (It takes ten **** tons off effort and investment to do something on this scale and it has probably strained them and backed everything else up), but all of the posts keep coming back to three issues, the release date gave out now was a bad guess, the slow refunds to a few people, and the lack of forum communication (but since everything they post now gets ripped to shreds why would they). People have called for updates and posted it here, and there is proof they are still working on the orders. I can't tell the people who have paid what they should do with their money ultimately it's thier call and I hope for the best for everyone still involved in the group buy.

Edit: I talked to Sam recently and they are the only guys I know of that have imported the RHD steering parts and actually built their kit to work on both LHD, RHD, 6MT, and AT cars right from the get go, If you get into a long conversation about this new kit with him there is so much cool **** going on here it is just crazy and with the free upgrades which are probably worth quite a bit it seems like they are trying to make the kit well worth the wait. Again just my opinion, and the things I have heard, those in the group buy shouldn't let anyone tell them what they should do with their money.

Nobody is telling anyone what they can or can't do with their money but instead trying to help a fellow members so they will not have to go through what others have in the past with gtm. They have FAILED us but I guess you can't see that. It's pretty apparent your one of gtm's disciples when you don't even have a kit..

It looks as if trips is cleaning up the negativity towards gtm again. I hate to say it but when no one cares for us here allowing gtm to sell their crap here by having the negative things erased to protect them it's nothing but politics. Very sad.
