For that, to hide behind the "we're too mean or better not post anything because we're gonna get chewed out" is just low at this point. People's hard earned money are at stake and they deserve better. Their reputation has found them (or should I say karma) from my350 and it's the same outcome. Stay quiet and hope the few n00bs slip thru the cracks and buys their product.

Man up. This is a big boy world.

Agreed. If they had kept the communication up the entire time then much of the negativity would have been avoided. Not all of it of course but their silence has to have attributed to at least 50% of the anger aimed at them on here.

Silence is generally seen as an affirmative response to a comment or question. So if someone says "you guys are dodgy and ripping people off" then silence will generally be taken as "why yes. Yes we are".
Never a good way to handle things!

Finding an old cracked Greddy manifold to test fit should be easy since the manifolds have been cast for over 10 years now. But you would have to also get your hands on a proprietary Greddy turbine housing.

If it works out, making a downpipe would be easy enough. Know any Australian 350zs using the Greddy?

Nah unfortunately don't know anyone with one man

I really don't understand their logic. They expect to take people's money (and we're not talking pocket change here) over imaginary poor quality products with poorer customer service and expect zero reaction from the community? Is that their explanation for "sh!tting on the community"? Because the Z/G community is the one being irrational here?

You obviously haven't being paying attention. Here are two of my posts from way back at the start of October.

"Delays are not the end of the world for me. The lack of communication is what is disappointing. Without even considering everyone else, to hold over $8000 of my money for months on end without a single email explaining what is going on, is not good business practise. I could have simply chucked that cash into a 6 month term deposit and made a couple of hundred on it by now. To be honest it is pretty typical of most performance garages though, fantastic products, great mechanics and engineers, but not a huge amount of business accumen.

I am not worried about being ripped off. I know that the kit will arrive eventually and will kick *** but I do hope that GTM learn a thing or two about communication from reading this thread.

People will always forgive mistakes and delays, as long as they feel as though the company is doing everything they can to make things right. A simple blanket email every few weeks, with a status update for everyone who has ordered and paid would go a hell of a long way. Being on the other side of the planet, I do not really have the luxury of being able to pick up the phone and call (nor should i really have to). Being left in the dark is what causes people to lose confidence and provokes many of the comments made over the last dozen or so pages of this thread."

And then two weeks later......

"This is basically what I wrote about 10 pages back. Anyone who was suprised when it was delayed massively is a little naive. Big project = Big potential delays.

The lack of communication whilst holding peoples money is the issue here really. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes but I truely hope that GTM learn a little about communication from this. When mistakes happen, its how they are dealt with that determines peoples final opinion of a business.

That said.........Gimme my Boost!!!"

Alka I thought u were ready to jump ship to F.I. if they can make it fit RHD? Your posts seem very contradicting. Kinda hard to decode.

FPenvy 04-10-2014 10:42 AM

how is this thread still alive :bowrofl:

Just curious, are you going to wait forever till they ship the kit or you already have a specific day that you pick the phone and ask for refund?

Man... I don't know any more. I have been a VERY FIRM GTM believer but now my confidence is starting to erode for 2 reasons :

1)) Severe lack of communications and very rude customer support from GTM

2)) There are a lot of talks about possible quality issues with their turbo kit since the price is so much cheaper than industry standard. I hope this is not true but it's hard to ignore this rumor.

But at least I will try to hang on to GTM until my limit is being reached. After that, I will have a serious talk with Tony and Dave over at F.I. and possibly start considering their product

I've got to ask- is there a significance to the various colors you use in your posts? Why do you do that?

Not really. Just a habit since in my job I have to answer about 200 emails per day, so having color differentiate my replies. Just makes it easier for the receiver to read... that's all

Ok, that makes sense.

BlkNismo 04-10-2014 04:14 PM

I would just like to add that I am still in this thing. Its no suprise there is no communicating with gtm here on the forums; however, pick up the phone and call! always works for me. That being said, I do have an exact date in mind when I will say enough is enough. Originally march/april was my install time frame, so now patience is running thin.

If my date is reached with no kit in hand....I'm thinking cts-v.

elperuano 04-10-2014 04:32 PM

Cts-v is amazing. Cadillac has really stepped it up. I'm considering that ride also!

Actually if they were holding your money until they could ship the product it would not be nearly as bad as spending the money for other operating expenses as fast as it comes in. That would appear to be more likely when you consider the time it took to refund deposits. If they are really running hand to mouth you would not want to be the last person standing when the music stops.
