Not really. Just a habit since in my job I have to answer about 200 emails per day, so having color differentiate my replies. Just makes it easier for the receiver to read... that's all

Ok, that makes sense.

BlkNismo 04-10-2014 04:14 PM

I would just like to add that I am still in this thing. Its no suprise there is no communicating with gtm here on the forums; however, pick up the phone and call! always works for me. That being said, I do have an exact date in mind when I will say enough is enough. Originally march/april was my install time frame, so now patience is running thin.

If my date is reached with no kit in hand....I'm thinking cts-v.

elperuano 04-10-2014 04:32 PM

Cts-v is amazing. Cadillac has really stepped it up. I'm considering that ride also!

Actually if they were holding your money until they could ship the product it would not be nearly as bad as spending the money for other operating expenses as fast as it comes in. That would appear to be more likely when you consider the time it took to refund deposits. If they are really running hand to mouth you would not want to be the last person standing when the music stops.

Alka I seriously hope it don't happen but if it does, it will be one helluva show and you're gonna be the star.

You guys are all weirdo's! That is something else that I posted a long long time ago. If another company had a kit for a RHD then of course I would seriously consider swapping. Why would I wait forever for a kit from one particular company when another one cold deliver straight away???

P.S I dont want the Stillen kit and yes I know it fits RHD.

I think most people will have a rough date in their mind when it becomes too much, we are seriously approaching 1 year. for me it's pretty much towards end of financial year, I've got a house re-finance/new car for missus that's happening after tax time.

I paid in full on June 9th 2013, so the money can be used for other things after tax time, forced induction isn't the end of the world for me if it takes longer, the longer it takes the closer it's getting to trading the Z and upgrading to a GTR.

09nismo498 04-10-2014 11:11 PM

Damn I am glad I'm backed out of this lol. Btw, I know they have cash problems. when I was going thru the refund process, all the signs of this were there, including several comments Sam made... Be careful guys if you are still in this, that's all I can say...

tower74 04-10-2014 11:16 PM

I can't believe people still have hope of this kit ever hitting the market :bowrofl:. When I was planning to do huge build, they were all over me and willing to tell me anything I wanted but when I started to read more about their time frames etc and backed off. Their attitude towards me turned from "Yes sir" to a quick " When we get the time" attitude.

Now I'm glad I choose to move on and not rely on anymore shytty companies. I had my share with STS.

I just switched to a stage 1.5 supercharger in hopes that it'll be here in about a month, seeing as it at least exists. If I could do it all again I would've just never signed a layaway agreement and gone BP. Live and learn I guess

Realistically you're in for a 3-6 month wait... Ask infidel.

I'd take that with a grain on salt. As trq can easily be manipulated with timing.

elperuano 04-11-2014 04:00 PM

Is that stock block g37 tt kit compared to a built block turbo kit?

R3drckt09 04-11-2014 04:30 PM

Yeah I didn't really have an option, other than let them keep like $1500! Definitely not happy with my situation though, I'm sure I'm in for it

Dzel 04-11-2014 07:41 PM

That's from JTran, the guys that built O&G's car. Straight up the best shop I've ever seen. I'm taking my WS6 to them here in a year or two when I swap out my D1SC for a couple of turbos

When I ordered my SC kit it took about 8 months to get... And came with damaged charge piping... Still waiting on a replacement pipe, been almost a year now... I think you'd almost be better cutting your losses and jumping over to BP or FI.

Did you order the GTM SC kit via a group buy or just a regular order ?

You have to call EVERY DAY !!! Get on Sam's azz every chance you get. Talk to Pablo and see if that gets you anywhere. You can't just 'wish' it into your possession.

R3drckt09 04-14-2014 06:13 AM

Yeah I've been calling every day, like I'm not one to be annoying but it's seriously the only way to get a response. We'll see where it gets me though, and if anything's damaged or used at all I'll be SO PISSED!

BlkNismo 04-14-2014 04:49 PM

whats the updated head count now?

We were around 9 I think at the start of this thread.

elperuano 04-14-2014 05:09 PM

I can think of like 4 or 5 and 2 of them live in Australia so those 2 have no other choice.

JTran tuned both of those cars w/o biased fyi! Single is always going to make more wtq than a twin, and the peak boost isn't but a 500 rpm difference, if that. Dudes been building turbo kits on VQ's for years, he just doesn't blast his shop all over the forums like others because he doesn't need to. His business has taken off and grows every year because the way he treats his customers.

2 years ago he was tuning VVEL: http://www.the370z.com/tuning/61400-...-unlocked.html

built more VQ37VHR's than any other company I know and countless VQ's in general: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...k-details.html

How about pushing a stillen kit to the limits: http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...en-blower.html

Sasha and JTran go way back, here is one of the first low mount kits ever on a VQ....5 or 6 years ago....custom setups are JTrans middle name!

This setup ran 10.'s w/ power in the mid 600's till he blew the motor failing to upgrade fuel pumps :/

Yea, I do most the repping (fan boy) crap on here for them, but hey, I've known him for over 8 years and he is the best UpRev tuner on this side of the US! Not to mention he has helped me out numerous times over my 8 years of owning VQ's!

Back on topic, sorry for the thread jack!

I hate to continue the thread jack but I can't help it. I've had a business relationship with JTran for over three years. I really hate to call it a business relationship because they treat me like family. He has given me free wisdom and knowledge on many occassions. He tuned me NA and he will be getting the G with my BP kit. He is an enthusiast. He loves builds whether its his work or yours he's always willing to help.

He is definitely not the type of guy to add or pull timing to push his product. If they say that's how the kits perform, than that's how they perform.

Sorry...back to the regularly scheduled program;)

Sorry, just saying trq can be made with timing I'm not saying he sucks or is good. I have no idea.

jwick 04-14-2014 07:44 PM

Hey bud. We're probably a little sensitive on the subject since JTran has treated us so well, which is nice considering some vendors (to be left unnamed) continue to **** on their customers.

Long live the mad scientist!

I also want to add they work on anything and everything not just VQ's.... so back on topic?

Mine was a regular order filed like two years ago lol.

GrooveStyle 04-15-2014 04:29 PM

I'm still in it. Bought that Stage III daily kit from Joe at ZSpeed. Came in two days. Waiting for that delivery was similar to training for a marathon and walking to answer your front door. Lol. That should hopefully keep me busy while I install/break it in. Called Sam, he said something about knowing more by the end of this week / they have cast parts coming, they just have lots of part numbers due to the multiple configurations they offer. Something about over 1200 parts on order. I feel at this point, if he's got enough parts to fill an order, he should do so. He also said he couldn't give me a time for cast part delivery since every date the supplier gave him has been wayyyy off. I don't know what to think. We need an official update, and GTM needs to hold their suppliers accountable.

Dzel 04-15-2014 04:33 PM

So the update is the same as the last 7... cool can't wait till you guys get these installed
