He should have Bosch EV-14 650cc injectors.

Thanks guys! I found the problem. It mustve been due to fatigue because its been a long week.I left the connector disconnected by the kick panel to gain the access to the rubber boot to route the gauges sensors. Shes running just fine. No leaks:tup:
But I gotta say that when first pressing the start button to let her fire up, I think my heart skipped few beats. It was pretty tense. Founding out that it just was a stupid connector, it was such a relief. |

You also may want to turn the blow off valve toward the pass side to keep dirt out of it.

One tiny leak I found is coming from oil filter. I changed 2 filters already and still nothing. Any ideas?

Never mind found the cause

Car is all back together, no leaks anymore, gauges looking great, it runs very smooth, part throttle AFR corrections almost dead on within ~2 % to a 100 as they should be as per GTM. Will call RT tunning tomorrow to schedule a tune. Now it's time for a 2 hrs drive home from pa to jersey. Should be a fun ride. Wish me luck

ride home was fantastic! After passing the 60 miles break in point before going into boost, I stepped on it a bit more. Car pulls freaking awesome. Checked the car over again for leaks and looks good.
One question though, I have 88mm pulley on 93 octane and did not hit more than 6-7 lbs of boost. I didnt really go the redline yet so I cant really tell what my max boost is. Will WOT pull in 3 rd gear all the way to redline give me max boost? |
u might have loosened up a coupler its always a good idea to recheck them after driving it for a while. if it isn't a connection problem have them check to see if the blow off valve is leaking when you get it tuned.

Can the bpv be adjusted to keep more pressure? I know there's a setting to make it stronger or weaker but I didn't adjust anything
|
the setting allows you to adjust the pressure difference that operates the valve. when the throttle is opened the pressure in the pipe and manifold equalizes and the valve shuts no matter the setting (unless something is really wrong). it isn't a wastegate so it doesn't control pressure it simply dumps it whenever the manifold pressure is something like 7psi lower than the pressure in the pipe. for more info on it reference the pokeyl thread missing boost(it's also very rare but if you have the same issue with temps he does maybe it's an issue with the compressor? just another thing to check i guess)
Edit: i said to have them check the valve because if you got dirt or something in it and it scuffed the bore it bit maybe its sticking but if youre building boost at all it should be closed. most likely a coupler moved or loosened up on you. |
