No, it cannot be done easily and when you want to install the 1.5 GTM SC kit air intake tube and filter, it is so much easier when the exhaust manifold is removed.
Tip: you don't have to remove the catalytic convertor when removing the exhaust manifold. Remove it from the engine compartment from the bottom.
