Anymore public info u find out and care to re-repeat after I post it go right ahead Captain Obvious.

Nobody asked your opinion on the build. If he wanted to know what you think of the potential of his system obviously he wouldve asked.

Nice build bro Id love to see the results. Those cogs can be a bitch. Bearing puller like up top should get you right. its really straight forward tho.

Wow good to see that other people helping out on the forum I get pm'ed all the time about the cogs, that's what a forum is all about helping. Nissan now that you have the cog's you will have to upgrade your maf's they will max out very easy. With the Meth and the smaller pulley I think you may see 14 plus psi just make sure the tune is on point.

thxs for the pictures and the help guys
i will keep you posted frank over at hills garage is going to look into it
and trust me if i had the money right now to drop another 9k on another kit i would but elperuano i do take donations

anyways if i mange to squeeze out 500rwhp on this car with this weak kit i can live with that my goal was never 1000hp car

yes built motor is over kill but as long as the tune is good the motor will be the last thing to break as it will never be near its max

i will take reliability over power anyday

ps. i am sure that one ride in mr. squeeze's car will make me delete this post

Get off my nuts troller, ur doin the same thing now. I'll wait for ur dreamer thread. It's a public forum so deal with it.

It's his build and his problem. Ur right everyone's here to learn and this is one of the funny ones to me. I needed a good laugh.

edub370 11-15-2012 01:44 PM

im just saying, why are u on this thread contributing nothing but negativity and telling people what they are doing wrong?? can't people just do their own thing?

back on topic:

what kinda torque are u looking at making with this upgraded cog set?

elperuano 11-15-2012 02:14 PM

Just some normal criticism... IMHO it seems like overkill. I will say I think this is one of the firsts if not the first built motor on a supercharger kit in all Nissan/Infiniti forums.
I wonder if OP asked for advice before the built motor and told everyone it was for a supercharger. The killer on motors is torque and superchargera don't make any torque. He could have saved himself lot of money. Simple criticism.. Grow some skin, lotta whiteknights up in here.

Back on topic - I doubt the torque is gonna change much. He'll need to work the hell outta that supercharger to get the low compression motor moving.

G37sHKS 11-15-2012 02:22 PM

Dude stop being offensive.. building the engine on SC is not overkill "IMHO". whats overkill is you being on this thread..

If you don't have anything nice to say then scroll down and click on another thread.

If he sees 14 psi, the built motor's not overkill. His sig says he was making 436/340 at 9 psi. 14 psi would put him deep in the 500s, which is where I'd want the additional security of a motor built to handle boost.

14 PSI will get him close. I made 457 an 330 at 10 PSI. An can we stay on topic here.

I didn't have to upgrade my maf's for the cogs to work. I'm running around 11.7psi. but i think if you are trying to go over 12psi you may have to.

Either way, you have to get a re-tune after installing the cogs, i don't think that was mentioned yet in this thread.

Nissan370 11-16-2012 11:22 AM

yea we doing a retune with the cogs and water-meth injection
my tuner wants to get a dual intake pipe fab done to move the maf after the blower and keep the stillen intake
if i was to get a larger heat exchange and coolant reserve i think the cooling will be fine i will move the coolant reserve to the trunk maybe

I maxed my Maf's out @ 6600 rpms with the cogs and impeller . If I remember correctly didn't you just do the cog pulleys by them self and not the impeller ?

correct, no impeller upgrade on mine.

king12sky 11-16-2012 01:07 PM

is this way better than using a 2.5-2.75" pulley? Im afraid of overheating because mine is a 7AT.
