Default Just ordered my GTM Stage II TT KIT!!

Well finally after much debate I went ahead and pulled the trigger. This will be my second TT install coming from an 2004 350z with the aps TT. Iam currently selling some of my na mods in the for-sale section and really looking forward to the tear down soon. Sam at gtm told me I should have the kit in about 3 weeks give or take so I wanted to get some advice or suggestions on making this install as painless as possible. I currently running the stillen exhaust and bought a set of gtm downpipes from a member here on the forum.
Cheers,
mardigras

Are you doing the install yourself?
If not then find a good shop, motor is best to come out for easier install (but is not that hard to take out). Have a tune/tuner lined up once done, throw in supporting mods while doing the TT install as it makes it easier down the road.

Iam doing the install myself since I did my 350z TT install and Iam keeping the motor in. Before summer I will order a gtm oil cooler. As far as a tune I will prob have z1 do it since they are closest to me...

Congrats! Be sure to post a ton of pictures! I love looking at this stuff even though I'll probably never do it.

If it were me, I'd drop the motor if you can get the car high enough off the ground. Haven't seen a step-by-step on engine removal, would love to see that!

Also, are you putting in some low compression pistons?

Congrats, I too have the stage 2 kit. It's gonna be a blast once it's all done n tuned.
You could do the install with the motor in but it will be a PITA! Why take the hard road when the easy road is available?
I've got my psi settin at 12 and I'm loving every second of it

Congrats, these cars are an absolute blast with boost. For boost control you can go with the HKS EVC or I also like the AEM TruBoost. Both are an all inclusive unit that can store multiple maps. The HKS is a bit more involved and the AEM is fairly straight forward. They both have some failsafes in place. You can adjust both boost onset and wastegate duty cycle with either option.

Go ahead and do the oil cooler with the build if you can. Even during the cold months when you are having some fun you can still watch the oil temp creep up when its cooling two turbos and the engine. I would also swap in a set of GT-R plugs instead of gapping down the OEM plug. The OE plug is a .44" gap. You can only knock down the gap a maximum of .08" (per NGK). The GT-R plug comes out the box with a .32" gap which is much more appropriate for boost.

What turbos did you get with your kit? Good luck with the build! Its a hell of an install with the engine in the car, haha.

Thanks,
Alex Goodwin
