?? You will lose boost with TP's but should make the same power? Just @ not as much PSI? What PSI are you seeing, I might have missed it.

Hmm, I was seeing i more PSI , (Stock cats) but to be at only 410WHP is weird, I would have expected at least 440 ish, How is the TQ with the impeller, I'm trying to get my car sorted out and have no been able to retune it yet, maybe with the headers and TP's its too much, I thought I saw a guy on here running headers with a SC but dont remember what his outcome was with it,

I am running stillen headers and stillen HFC and making more power with less PSI it seems like. I am currently setting at 432 at only 6psi.

dynojet?

wifedrivenZ 10-10-2012 06:45 PM

Do you think it could be the tuner? Should I look for another tuner? Could I have a bad part that is not letting me get the numbers I am looking for?

That is one optimistic dyno.

To OP, what kind of dyno are you running on? And what is the TQ? Honestly your numbers sound pretty well spot on assuming the graph and TQ look alright. Different dynos will read far differently, you're in for a bad time if the only thing you're doing is looking at HP numbers with no other factors taken into consideration.

to put my numbers in perspective when the car was originally tuned by a shop that shall remain un named in WPB dynod the car on a mustang dyno and gave me a chart of 405hp. when I went to get a proper tune the shop here in Tampa put the car on an pulled a number of 398hp but it was detonating bad on top end and the air fuel was all jacked up. Spent 5 hrs getting it right and even pulled timing to ensure a safe tune and ended up with 432hp. WOW 370 also had his car tuned there and has twin turbo and pulled 464hp. The dyno used was set up for cars with 400+ so if you make it above that range you have a beast of a car. But with anything every dyno is different. To really know the difference in hp numbers from car to car you have to dyno on the same one with the same conditions so I take my numbers with a grain of salt.

I have had my car on several dyno's. first time was on a mustang dyno doing 370whp. Next I was at Z1and I put down 386. That was with a stock tune from Stillen. With just a tune with 93 I should push more than 410whp.

I have also had my car on several different dynos. 410whp would be excellent on a mustang dyno. 460-470whp would be excellent on a dynojet.

EDIT:
but for this kit, what it really comes down to is torque, or lack thereof

Man looks like your Stillen tune was better than mine, LOL On my Stillen tune I made like 332 WHP :(. .Custom 93 tune made 412 WHP, Mustang Dyno,. On a custom 93 Tune with the impeller you should make more than 410WHP, an some TQ also.

So this is the best they could do. They say that they tuned the VVEL with a beta version of uprev SW and gained 15 extra HP in the mid range. My email address removed some of the files when the email came in so I will post the rest once they resend me the other Dyno sheets. Thanks all for your support. I will have the car back tonight and can tell you how it is running.

Oh I did keep the test pipes on the car.

weiboy718 10-12-2012 07:28 AM

elperuano 10-12-2012 07:31 AM
