It's also humorous to see the fanboy's jump in defence of a company that they favor, because a member asks a legitimate question requesting and update or an explanation of sorts..

Now had this question come up in say a Stillen thread..:ugh2::tiphat:

I don't care for the Stillen kit. I want to give GTM my money. I'm just asking WHEN they will be ready to take it.

I think everyone on this entire forum knows that you want to know when it will be ready. Asking over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ... again--just like when a child does it--will not change the ability or willingness for GTM to give you an answer. Please call GTM and stop littering posts with redundant questions. :shakes head:

I don't have to get a kit, period. That is always a valid option. I've stated I am willing to wait, I just want to know HOW LONG. It really should be such a simple answer from Sam. When the shop car has over 5000 miles is not an answer. That could be 2015 for all we know.

I hear everyone on this thread that are taking Sam's side. I get it, really. Again, 2+ years here of waiting. I was waiting for it when I owned a G37 and now I'm waiting as a 370z owner. I want to give them my money.

SAM, TAKE MY MONEY.

elperuano 08-29-2012 01:45 PM

Wow, these kind of people exist??? Damn shame he owns a 370z.

as a california resident i can tell you when i hear about people in other states getting a smog check, its so easy compared to ours

in california CARB requires smog testers to not only do a sniffer and ecu read, but it requires a visual inspection as well, and if the tester sees something that might be modified(like new downpipes) he will fail you and you and your car will be on the dirty polluters list and you will have to either sell your car out of state or pay fines and fees to have your car inspected and removed from the dirty polluters list

all of the other states that have a clean air act of some kind, dont require smog testers to preform all of that, most of the time its an ecu scan, and maybe a sniffer test

now im pretty sure the gtm sc kit will pass the sniffer and ecu test but you will not pass the visual because the air boxes will have been moved and the air filters have been relocated, and while that might not be breaking carb rules, if he suspects anything he will fail you

tbh i am all for cleaner emissions but the smog checks here in california are brutal

Brags about what he does on a forum - check.

This should be a good example for you to understand that it's not just what you do, it's also how you do it. It's not that you asked that bothers the members here; it's how you go about doing it.

You want Sam to answer you with a date, but he answered you with a condition. Sam probably doesn't know exactly when it will be ready (he's got a lot on his plate) and gave you the best answer he could. Everyone else here understands that, except you. You are not entitled to the kind of answer you are demanding and you are making an idiot of yourself by doing so.

ANMVQ 08-29-2012 02:18 PM

I'm all for asking questions and wanting to buy somehting, But it you MUST have FI and be Carb legal. I'll say it again, Why not Stillen?

never mind, Missed the post on how you dont like the Stillen kit, Not sure why, But too bad, Just sit and wait then I guess, :/

You and others have blinders on, but the "mob" is on the move and grows more bold in numbers. I understand this. What this forum thinks of my question is of no concern to me.

The inevitable conclusion is the back and forth baiting that has nothing to do with the only question that matters, when will the CARB kit ship, will lead to the thread being locked. Victory will be declared by the mob and many virtual backs will be patted.

Now. Hey Sam, got a date for me?

Well you pretty much summed it up right there. Thanks for recognizing that.

weiboy718 08-29-2012 02:43 PM

MMC-you're not the only person waiting for this. I am patiently waiting for it too and matter of fact I think I'm due for a first smog in a couple of months. My car is an 08 and I may be screwed if it doesn't get CARB certified however I'm not even sure if my kit is the CARB kit or not. I have the stage 1 and if you look again their stage 0 is the CARB kit

MMC is posing a valid question that GTM will not or cannot answer.

Fanboy's need to stop slamming this guy, he is trying to help your community.. Whether he has ulterior motives or not is irrelevant, as it's still a valid question that GTM doesn't care to answer on a public forum.
-Wonder why?

If this doesn't pique your interest, then the wool has completely blinded you.

I've been "around" a long time. Someone bored enough could look through 350z/G37/GT-R forums and find I'm not a fanboy of any brand or shop. I'm a potential GTM fanboy, but I need a product to purchase first before becoming a believer.

I don't think people are questioning the validity of the question, but rather the frequency ... and also wondering why he doesn't just go to the source and call GTM.

As Sam already said, I talked to "them" a few months back. As this thread says, I was trying to show there is interest in this product so they will prioritize completing it.

As to the frequency, I am now keeping it within this 1 thread. Feel free to skip over it.

elperuano 08-30-2012 03:38 PM

Just move on, this is just pathetic. Take it somewhere else, grow up. I simply can't believe how childish ur making this. There is no more validity here to ur question. You've managed to annoy a lot of people here with ur childish ways. If he hasn't answer, take a hint!
Get a clue! Anything!
You sound like a girl who just got dumped and is begging for him to take you back. Is this how you'll raise your children?

Your entire post makes no sense. You are showing your superior maturity by name calling and the poor use of analogy?

elperuano 08-30-2012 05:42 PM

Lol why can't u act like that all the time? Now you want to act like a civilized adult after you have been called out on your childish ways? Stick with your newfound maturity for the better of the community please.

Listen buddy, I am a California resident just like yourself and like you I also dislike the stillen kit(I don't like how it makes the engine bay flashy) but I don't pester Sam with the same question over and over again

that is why people are calling you childish and your posts are a bit ridiculous

If you are worried about carb crap than go with a built motor, chances are that it will pass the sniffer test and it will evade the visual inspection because the engine cover is on the engine(assuming you leave it on)

That is why I asked. You aren't ready to buy, so you would have no reason to "pester" Sam.

I have cash in hand waiting for a product.

One extreme to the other, I don't care for the 4 months of extreme heat. The bigger problem is the lack of technology jobs in Nevada.

Sam has taken so long that now desert season is only a few months off. My attention will turn to offroad fun. Maybe he can finish up the kit by next April when that winds down again.
