This looks amazing.

I'm the 652hp g35 build from Boosted Performance. I have a 6765 turbo on the midmount kit. If sasha wants i can post up the dyno but my twin disk OS giken let go on the dyno right at 652 hp so i didn't get to push it to the limits. I made that power on 22psi as well. I have a carbonetics triple disk clutch in the car now but haven't had a chance to get back on the dyno due to all the time i'm spending in the clinic. I'm planning on running about 30psi so conservative upper 700's to the wheels.

Sasha is the best person I've ever worked with in this industry and goes out of his way to help any customer.

^^ Where did you get the kit installed? Was it here in STL!? I'm not sure where I'll go to get this installed/tuned... perhaps ET Tuning?

I would love to meet up and see this firsthand if you're still in town!

^Binder, likely completed the install himself as well as the tune..
IIRC, he builds race bike engines and is an all around FI library.
Def a solid guy to seek advice from..

Good to see you over here Binder:tup:

Your car with the BP mid mount kit is a beast

All of my customers (30+) with the mid mount kit have installed the kits by themselves. The 370z kit is even easier to install than the 350z mid mount kit. I really put the emphasis on simplicity when I build these kits, making installs a breeze.

This is where the big savings come in when comparing this to twin turbo kits.
Even if you take this kit to a shop, i can't see it being over 10 hours to install, so about $1000. It goes together like Lego, because there is nothing to drill, tap, cut, bend or modify on the car itself.

Like with the mid mount kit, each pipe end is labeled telling the installed where it goes. Same thing goes for the oil lines, each will have a label at each end telling the installed where it is to go. The scavenge pump will come already mounted on the plate, with fittings installed. Same goes for the oil filter relocation. So, one could say that some of the kit comes somewhat pre-assembled.

I got with a local shop and had them look at this thread and asked to get me an estimate. I gota $1200 price. I would gladly pay that just to know that it was done by professionals these are the same guys that did my TP's. Now all I need is a place to tune. I contacted J-Tran out of Houston just have to get the car down there. Sasha would it be ok to drive 8 hours on a prelim tune or should I ship when all this goes down.

That price sounds about right, some may do it for less. I would expect the quotes to come in at about $1000-$1200 for a complete install.

The base map I have here seems to be working very well for out of boost driving. So I would be ok with saying that it is ok to drive the car to a tuner.
J-tran is a good choice for tuning, those guys know what they are doing...and have a lot of experience with the VQ. Great shop from what I have seen on the forums, and heard from others.

I think that once you see the dyno results that you will have not problem waiting just a bit longer for this.

Can I track with this or will my oil temps go through the roof even with my 25 row oil cooler? Also, how bad of a hit on mileage do you think we'll take with this kit?

You will be fine with the oil cooler.

As far as mileage goes, it is directly proportional to the weight of your right foot.

I think you will find that your oil temps will go through the roof with any kit even N/A.

brucelidat 05-31-2012 11:47 PM

Is there pricing on this kit yet? Do you have a website?

brucelidat 05-31-2012 11:53 PM

assuming driving style doesn't change (as a control, thought it probably will), would mileage change with a turbo?
