Yikes , oh well at least now u can do some internals , my car is running great , the only problem is traction and keeping gas in the tank

blackonorange 08-03-2012 06:58 AM

Well guys I got the dreaded p0300 code ( multiple misfires ) what can i do to get rid of it , I'll try cleaning the maf sensors

Motion Lab 08-03-2012 07:56 AM

Check your spark plugs if you've been boosted for a while! Especially if you are on the factory plugs.

Thanks,

I just put in those hks / gtr plugs like a month ago

tower74 08-04-2012 09:37 AM

It could be your ignition coils as well...if not then it's the plugs. I would pull them and check them out.

I got the same code as well...but of course mine was due to the motocross plugs:tup:....Either way I would watch that and your oil. Don't forget that oil is getting used twice each cycle. Once I get mine fixed, buying that test pipes tomorrow, and finally tuned, the car is gone. So good luck with your system and I hope this is the only problem you see:tiphat:

Hey guys just wondering if you have had any experience with heat wrapping headers ? What kind did you use?

edub370 09-19-2012 11:17 AM

I used to use DEI heat wrap on my old EVO and DSM's and a few old Camaros. Works pretty good. You can get it at autozone and Advanced Auto

Why would I wrap that? I want that cold as possible. I'm wrapping the headers and the rest of the exhaust back to the turbo

wheee! 09-19-2012 01:51 PM

Heat wrap will insulate the pipe... keep it cold or hot depending on the purpose.

Hmmm I see, I don't think I'd gain much with wrapping the charge pipes tho...

Well as some of you know my STS kit is comin off, after GTM's announcement of their 16 g kit and Sasha's wild twin scroll kit, it's time to let it go. For the record I'm very happy with the power the STS kit made for the price. We have figured out that the big power is unlocked by taking out the stock cats. Most of you knew this from the beginning. I will keep this thread updated with what ever new kit I buy ( also if I buy a gtr, some are selling for below 60g now which is definately doable). When the kit is off I will make a forsale thread, I have had a lot of interest on it already and those ppl know they have first dibs on it when it's forsale. Stay tuned
