STS 370Z Single Turbo System

This is the STS Turbo 370Z thread. Here we will provide information, post pictures, videos, updates and answer any questions that you may have. We hope you enjoy!

The new STS Turbo 370Z turbocharger system has been over 1 year in development and testing. We are proud to release what we believe to be the best forced induction product for the Nissan 370Z.

Our large front mount dual-core intercooler fits behind the stock front end with NO modification to any of the structural components of the vehicle.

The engine compartment is left clean, free of clutter and requires NO modification. Any future maintenance or repairs will require no more work than a stock Z. Dual 52mm Turbosmart Race Port blow valves are standard in every 370Z kit.

All of the exhaust components come standard with an extreme high-temp, ceramic heat barrier coating. The intake pipes are also coated with a durable high-luster ceramic coating. Exhaust tips are a stainless steel dual wall design, also standard. Notice how our piping follows the factory exhaust path so you know there is nothing on the STS kit lower than any factory components. In fact, the turbo assembly is harder to see from the rear of the car than the factory muffler!

To maintain the dual exhaust we have used the wastegate dump as the driver side exhaust. Also, notice the large filter shield which allows plenty of airflow while keeping the air filter out of the elements. Just loosen a few bolts to remove the shield and service the air filter.

This customer wanted our dual resonator upgrade to quiet the exhaust note. The resonators are a high quality polished stainless steel piece modified to be a bolt-on installation with our system. The resonators have a solid ceramic core so there is NO chance of a resonator packing failure.

You are not required to buy headers, exhaust, air intake or any other aftermarket components to complete the installation. The STS system does not require you to modify any of the factory emissions equipment. All of our HP numbers are from cars with completely stock exhaust manifolds and cats.

This car was a bone stock 2010 370Z Nismo. This car had a baseline of 272.58 RWHP & 229 RWTQ. We have seen the stock Nismo cars go as high as 295 RWHP which would only add to our boosted numbers.

At only 5.5psi we are getting over 400 rwhp. That’s 125 more than stock! With methanol injection you can safely make over 500rwhp! We also offer numerous turbo upgrades that will support up to 950chp! (Dyno graphs are in video below)

The average install time for this kit is between 8 & 12 hours depending on options. The ONLY modifications to the vehicle is drilling a small hole for a clamp and cutting a small ear off the plastic radiator support to allow an intake pipe to be installed. If you can install a cat back exhaust and a cold air intake, then you can install this kit by following the detailed full-color instruction manual.

now this is what i like to see. this thread will be blowing up soon with questions i'm sure. there are so many people interested in this kit, but up unitl now there has been so little actual info.

looks like some vendors do like to come support their customers

MattP725 01-26-2012 01:02 PM

Subd... any idea on pricing?

I drive my Z in the winter as a DD. I wash my Z a lot at the touch less car wash which includes a bottom blast to the under carriage. Would this be ok to do with your turbo kit?

Edit:
It looks like I would have to fab something to protect against direct water blasts. However, I'm still interested in what you recommend.

Mod list? Does it cost extra to have everything coated with resonators? If it does cost extra, what does it cost?

I really like that gauge he has who makes it?

What about fuel system and ecu management? Does this comes with the kit also?

Chinook 01-26-2012 02:55 PM

this kit sounds so so much better with the new exhaust setup, can't wait to get the new exhaust installed, spring can't come soon enough!

I was gonna go this route but STs informed me that leaving the stock cat in hold heat better and spools the turbo quicker

Staples 01-26-2012 03:22 PM

That's why they stick with 2.25" exhaust piping.

oleg 01-26-2012 03:22 PM

Can this set up be used for track use without fear of overheating the car? From what I know all the other FI options can't be tracked for a longer period of time without having the cooling system seriously modefied

An oil cooler is always recommended for an under-the-hood turbo system as oil temperatures rise quickly with the VVEL system. It's not needed with the STS kit though.
