Thanks. I haven't posted here as I have a 2007 350Z and am active on the 350Z forums. I started hanging out here because I am interested in getting a GTM SC for my car and it is similar to the one they make for the VQ35HR.

Still no transmission upgrade updates..??..??

The Dimer 01-18-2012 12:24 PM

I don't know what you're looking for specifically but like the radiator, they appear to have automatic transmission stuff on their website (including stage 3 and 4 upgrades). I just don't think they ever did a press release for them.

kosstick 01-28-2012 01:23 AM

Hey guys wondering if anyone is having problems with their sc stage 1 or 2 at 7100 rpm my boost and power just drop 100 whp every dyno is the shows it dropping like clockwork, Seb and I are racking our brains trying to figure it out. We believe it's a software issue. Let md know if anyone has any advice!

Bumping this thread for update on transmission build...

On GTM site there is stage 3 and 4 but thats just too expensive...

I would like to see a new thread about transmission upgrade to see what exactly i need for 500 torque.

Any update Sam?

We're working on adding parts only packages to our website. Basically, they are master parts kits for our Stage 3 and 4 transmissions. With those parts in hand, all you'll have to do is hand them and your transmission to a qualified automatic transmission builder experienced with performance transmission builds to get them installed properly.

Thanks for fast reply.

So what exactly I need for 400-500 torque? talking about daily use car (if that matter)

cavemancan 03-29-2012 10:48 PM

Sam,

Don't know if this was already addressed but how much does the Stage 2 kit weigh? What about the twin turbo? I am concerned with the weight being added...IE balance of the car and affects on handling etc.

Thanks,

Chris

This has been asked several times with no definitive answer. I think it's around 60-70 lbs for the TT kit. Probably a bit less for SC given only one compressor.

I skimed through the thread only paying attention to Sam's postes. Someone should weigh the package after recieving it.

I didn't weight the package when it showed up but Fedex had 80lb on the box to my SC Stage 1.5

Not bad...You can offset half of that with a battery relocate. Nice! I may have something to think about next year if I am cwazy! :yum:

Staples 03-31-2012 06:34 PM

70-80lbs isn't going to throw your front / rear weight ratio off by that much. I'll take the added weight for 150whp or more.

Get a good set of coilovers and adjustable swaybars. Run more damping (stiffness) in the front then the rear. This will help with oversteer if decide to track your car.

Out of curiosity, what information do you have to substantiate that 500whp is the limit? At this point, nobody really knows. So far there doesn't seem to be an exact number this transmission breaks at. There are a lot of factors that have a direct impact on an AT surviving forced induction.

I'm not ignoring Cafiax's post, just been extremely busy and I want to come back with a good detailed answer to address his question. Our 7AT upgrade press release is right around the corner and we'll address this in our press release.

Hey Sam

Any updates on the press release for both the 7AT upgrades and the radiator?

stage 3 GTM SC with fully built 7 AT. with snow meth kit.
I have the stage 2 but im going with the larger SC.and more boost.
The tranney will be here before the SC.
I have a built engine ( GTM parts 20 over bore not built by GTM built built locally i bought the block up here). Not installed yet
I will tun the tranney on my N/A set up as i want to break the 1/4 mile record with a 7 AT all moter.
