It seems that at this point, the 7ATs start to fail once power levels reach the 500rwhp mark. No word yet on the effectiveness of the upgrades yet, once there are more upgraded 7ATs, we will be able to see how much power it can truly handle.

Out of curiosity, what information do you have to substantiate that 500whp is the limit? At this point, nobody really knows. So far there doesn't seem to be an exact number this transmission breaks at. There are a lot of factors that have a direct impact on an AT surviving forced induction.

I'm not ignoring Cafiax's post, just been extremely busy and I want to come back with a good detailed answer to address his question. Our 7AT upgrade press release is right around the corner and we'll address this in our press release.

It is based off of observations. Shumby and Andrew, those are my main reference points. I stated 500whp as the point where I would not feel that long term durability has been shown to be possible, based off of a few examples.

Since there has been no information released about the valve body upgrades and transmission PCM changes, I was trying to answer the poster's question to the best of my abilities.

Yes there is a whole story behind Andrews car transmission going out. I am really surprised he hasent said anything yet.

Nissan took care of him, even with the SC they provided a warranty replacement.

Lol don't think id be soo lucky though lol. From what I hear though it wasn't because of the SC it was because of a lack of oil so that is great news. !

It would take some back and forth, I believe the burden of proof is on them to show that the SC put a strain on the transmission and caused the failure, a burden they will likely satisfy.

Haha, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that either.

If you have a good dealership or can prove it was the not the supercharging causing the issue it will help.
I believe his issue was not supercharger related so he could argue replacement.

Which is interesting because it wasn't a Nissan tech who didn't fill the oil back. :ugh2: Kinda odd how they had to foot the bill for the replacement...
