A supercharger kit that costs 1/4 of what the car cost brand new.....what a joke.

Should of bought a civic

6500 original price was a steal.
There is better pricing just have to inquire.

yeah, try searching for a module called Navtool. that's what i'm using and can play music while monitoring the gauges or any other function you're using on the factory unit.

This is where I read afk works with hks camp.

So you are saying JB is incorrect?

I'm sure he can chime in.

That wasn't what I was getting at. There are other types of cars in the class of the Z that have aftermarket parts that cost half or less for the same quality.

We are paying aftermarket BMW parts prices for a damn Nissan, and its ignorant as hell. I can't believe this community is gullible enough to pay 1500$ for some bent steel or 500$ for a slightly curved 2 foot section of steel, etc. We are being robbed blind, and the worst part is that all of you are ok with it.

I think it boils down to aftermarket support, which this platform is lacking. There is not 100 companies to compete with to drive costs down.

This is not a Mustang, there are not 10k sold every month.
Supply & demand, there is not much aftermarket demand for the Z so companies must increase prices for them to get a return on investment.

There are as many fI kit makers as there are for the mustangs, there are as many or more exhaust makers, as many or more suspension makers, as many or more wheel makers.....see the trend?

Prices are set by what the market bares, which means whatever we, the customer, are willing to pay....and obviously we are willing to pay extortion and these companies know that.

Just because we have the same amount of companies making products does not mean they are selling the same volume as other cars.
Remember, only a small percent of owners will mod a car so when less cars are so a smaller aftermarket is created.

You should trade in your Z for that 03/04 cobra you were talking about...problem solved.

You should quit paying exhorbant prices for parts, therefore they come down.

Problem solved.

You have no idea what I paid, for anything I own. So don't make assumptions, it makes you look like an idiot. What also adds to that impression are the rest of your posts. So stop.

To suggest that it's my fault that prices are where they are is just ignorant as hell. The fact that this is a nitch market with very slim volume has 1000x more to do with it then me willing to pay whatever price I paid for what I have. Spend a little less time whining and go figure out all the companies that have gone out of business or bankrupt in the past 12 months (I can think of 4 known brands just off the top of my head) and a reasonably intelligent person can figure out it's the economy and the market that has caused these businesses to go down. A company isn't going to have a very profitable business opening it's doors in this economy, making parts for our cars, selling them for $50 over their costs. And if you think it's possible, I encourage you to be more productive with your time and open that business. Good luck making any sort of profit in your first 2-5 years on that one too btw.

The other point I'll make is...I buy what I want because I can afford it just like everyone else in this world. Not a single person here buys or doesn't buy something wondering if it's going to affect some other guy's wallet.
