I'm only getting a maximum of 220 miles out of 15 gallons of fuel on mixed driving. Maybe my fuel pump float valve is dirty or messed up and giving me a false reading. |

I only have 3700 miles so I think the MPG should go up … maybe LOL |
Fender has been vented with a louvered section. I think it turned out pretty well.
http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_3878.jpg I am rehydrating right now because of another 106 degree day. I will have to road test the setup later. Also, there is not enough clearance to use a puller fan. A fan will definitely have to be a push from the front like Zat_Zuma's setup. I also do not see (could just be me) how a larger oil cooler will fit in that space. Jamaica - How did your install go with the larger cooler? Picture for reference of space where the cooler is situated. http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_3873.jpg |
looks awesome! I hope it works.

Here is the DIY http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...e-1-nismo.html |
Looks good. I managed to take my car out for a run this morning. Car halls azz big time. I managed to get the oil temps to 250 with my 25 row. Now my goal is to do 2 25 row . The car continues to pull big time

I don't know where I would fit a 2nd 25R cooler. The Stage 2 relocates the air filter to the back of SC if I am not mistaken, so I assume this frees up space in the passenger side of the bumper for the 2nd cooler. I do not have any free space behind my bumper anywhere LOL. |

You can always get creative w/ some ducting as well. although a piece of aluminum attached to the bumper brace to direct a little bit more air to that side might work as well. |

I had the Greddy Turbo aluminum oil pan installed. Initial results are showing a 10-15 degree reduction in oil temperatures. Granted it is not as hot in DFW as it has been but still over 100 for ambient air temperature. http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_3911.jpg http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...ng-option.html |

We all know that the OEM gauge sucks and doesn't give proper indication of the coolant temps. I can imagine the heat your generating with the Stage 2 kit |

1 - Installed SPAL 6.5" fan on the oil cooler 2 - Full UpRev tune from Thomas at Jotech The final tune back in August from Sam at GTM produced 379WHP/332WTQ. The tune from Thomas at Jotech: 419.1WHP/350.8WTQ Driving Impression so far .... The difference in throttle response is phenomenal and the irritating erratic idle problem is mostly gone. Thomas said I could probable use a spark plug change though. I will get a dyno picture up in a few days if anyone is interested in the graph. Thanks to GTM for producing an excellent product and thanks to Kenny and Thomas at Jotech Motorsports for the dyno time for a full UpRev tune. |
Congrats on the gains. I just got Thomas to tune mine last week on Monday. He got me 410/358. I bet it was like dejavu for him since I have a white nismo as well.

Were you able to get the sensor in the pan to work with your fans?
|
You should be able to, but I have mine hard wired to a switch. So far with the fan on all the time it does not effect the engine oil warm up time.

I wired the fan to a switch on the center console. That was the quickest and easiest way to get the fan up and working. With ambient temperatures around 80 with relatively low humidity, I have not had a real chance to test it yet. I never broke 200 degrees on the dyno with the fan so it appears to be a worthwhile mod so far. http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...v/IMG_5401.jpg Niztalgic LOL yep, it was a déjà vu for Thomas. He and Kenny both mentioned you had been in recently for a tune. We should meet up sometime and compare notes. |
Was the tune from Sam actually done at GTM? I am surprised to see so much was left on the table.

One thing to note is the original tune was done with Motordyne ART pipes and the stock exhaust. The tune yesterday was on stock cats and stock exhaust. I think all things considered, I was probably on a conservative tune. I appreciate the time and effort put forth by those at GTM and Jotech Motorsports. I forgot the graph again today, but will post it up later. |
Here is a picture of the dyno:

That is really nice looking!

http://i1120.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3918.jpg The only set of test pipes that seal like the OEM cats are from GTM. They have been out of stock for months so I just put the stock cats back on and purchased a spare set when/if I blow mine out. Plus I do not have to swap out for the state inspection. It just was not worth the hassle to me. |
buy some factory cats and cut the cat section off and weld on a resonator or pipe and wha-la!!
