I have actually considered this because I am not changing the suspension. However, that makes the oil pan awfully low IMO.

Very nice install. Enjoy!

I have the spacer installed on my car and my car slammed. I haven't noticed any scrape marks yet. I would assume you'll be fine especially you're not lowered

I have been thinking about doing this, another quart of oil is always great to have, but I do agree it sits below the crossmember on our car. While I am sure we will mostly likely not scrap it, I have had a couple things fly under my car and would hate to have it ripped apart.

AM Perfomance oil pan will do something similar but that is 1grand.

While I like that piece and know it is designed very well, $1,000 for that piece is extremely overpriced.

I'll take some pictures of my oil pan on my next oil change. That should help out a little for the guys that's planning on getting one

On the dyno and still running really rich. Sam is sending a better tune.

Anxious to see the end result.

Also still have high oil temps. The NISMO bumper just has no air flow. So we are putting together some things to cool that oil down. Still hitting 250 during normal driving.

nostril ducts?

Because of the same reason I want to do something like this to mine when I go FI.

wind.zero 08-20-2011 02:03 PM

Best so far with ambient air temp at 112 is 381.5 / 331.9

I think we have one more tune for the money.

EDIT
I will have to get the base numbers but HP was ~267 not sure on TQ.

Good idea... I've been giving thought to some custom ducts/deflectors and a small cooling fan.

Updated with Dyno Picture and Video

I want to thank Sam at GTM as well as Kenny, Ty, and Tony at Jotech Motorsports for all of the time they devoted today on my tune. It was pretty much an all day affair and I was ringing Sam before he probably even sat down and thought about coffee this morning. Thanks again to everyone for putting in the time today on my ride. I appreciate the fact that both Sam and Kenny wanted to ensure I had a good, safe tune.

It was another record breaking day in the DFW area today with 107 degrees. Inside the dyno area it was well over 110. I am happy with the results. I think I will see about breaking 400 when outside temperatures are more reasonable.

Here is the video of the final dyno run. This was my first time with video so be nice LOL

Not sure why part of the base dyno is missing but you can see the before and after.

What about the Greddy cast aluminum high capacity oil pan? It comes with the turbo kit but is also available separately. I would like to know if anyone has gone this route. I am giving serious consideration to this part AND and a cooling fan on the oil cooler.

I cannot get motivated to cut a duct on the NISMO bumper but I may have no choice.

Cool congrats on the install and the numbers!
