Yes I only have a 25row and it gets up to 210. I need to upgrade or move it.

Hmm, I think the problem is getting airflow through the oil cooler, don't think a larger cooler will help. Maybe a fan to pull the air through the oil cooler? Did it go from 180 to 210 after the mod?

The question is what benefits more? Lower oil temps or lower charger air in manifold?

Realale 01-23-2014 09:08 PM

Well it always was high. It really just went up 10-20 degrees after the intercooler install. And this is on the Nismo so less of an opening I think. Still never close to limp mode even under hard driving.

Hello Guys

New intercooler in Progress.....

A little work on the cross brace
and on the water pipe Installation
The STILLEN Oil-Cooler goes 1 cm back (3 cm between Intercooler and Oil-Cooler)
The front of the Intercooler is ground flat (no welding seam)

The frontfacia has been milled and is ready for painting.
(Without Nissan characters) :excited:

Has the larger heat exchanger improved the performance of the supercharger?
Did you guys change the water pump .

The original pump is still mounted.
I am installing from our business a speed controller and a temperature sensor
where I can adjust the pump's performance during the tests and at the outlet of the head exchangers, the temperature can record so as to set the optimal speed of the pump.

@luigi90210
Once the front is mounted, I can on my home track (mountain road) the heat exchanger test.
For 2 years, I'm going there always the same route at the same ambient temperatures and have the temperatures recorded via OBDII

We'll see once everything is ready...

I Have enjoyed your thread great build and vids. My 370Z received it's stillen kit last week. Installation and custom tune by Croydon Racing Developments here in Sydney. Pick it up tomorrow. I went directly with the 9lb pullley.
I have been considering the larger heat exchanger for a while so I am looking forward to your results.

An excellent informative thread compliments to you !

I have almost zero clue about all the technical terms going on here, but this was still a very entertaining read. Like the videos!
