Do u know what oil cooler wil fit with the stage 2 kit? Was it the 27 or 34 row?

roplusbee 05-18-2011 10:08 PM

That is sort of what I asked. I just know that the 34 Row was a tight fit with the intercooler setup. If it is the same intercooler and piping setup, then the 34 will squeeze in again. But that is why I asked instead of assuming.............

NewYorkJon34 05-18-2011 10:33 PM

Someone from GTM posted what size it is awhile back, I really believe its the 27 row. I want to start buying what I need for the STG.2, and am just waiting on a confirmation...Sam? lol

Yeah I remember he said that too somewhere in random thread.

Sorry for noob question but isn't the meth injector be installed on any forced induction car? like STG1 and TT?? why sam mentioned it only on STG2??

As far as I'm concerned it can be safely run on any forced induction system. Now, is it more effective on certain applications? That I couldn't tell you. Me personally I'm not running a meth setup yet, but I have friends that are supercharged and turbo charged and run meth injection systems without a problem.

Without. I am getting the water/meth injection. The numbers will be posted when my car is complete with that kit.

Thanks dixon =)

To make the numbers Sam had planned this was the answer with the STG 2 kit if I remembered correctly (looks like I did) I feel that will be a nice jump to what was posted with the first test car.

dixon cider 05-19-2011 11:51 AM

That's what we are hoping for.

Update

After literally installing and uninstalling the supercharger about 10 times this week, countless pulley changes with different intake and tunes combination, We are happy to report that the hard work had finally paid off with some extraordinary results.

Here is some New dyno results

b1adesofcha0s 05-20-2011 07:47 PM

That's amazing!

What's the difference between the 3rd and 4th runs that caused the increase?

So you changed the pulley after all nice results. Is this new pulley smaller than the other one?

Jamaica 05-20-2011 07:55 PM

those numbers are good. 11 pounds of boost ....that's crazy. Over 500 to the wheels.... You people must be happy : )

Once we found the right intake combo we went with a larger pulley. so at 523 RWHP we still have 3 different pulleys that are smaller to spin the charger faster .

Sam...

You need it. Congrats !!!!

Mr&Mrs 05-20-2011 08:07 PM

This is exactly what I was hoping for, and still without meth injection.

NewYorkJon34 05-20-2011 08:08 PM

Holy fuk, you gotta be kidding mmmmeeee, lol The numbers are better then I ever imagined. The real question is can the stock motor handle 500whp? Plus that's still with the stock exhaust & cats, with my Fast Intentions exhaust & headers I'd prob have at least 530whp.

Per Andrew, it is NOT my car. Kaien is correct. It is the G37. But still, holy sh!t!! Man, I need to quit taking such big breaks from the boards. I miss all of the good stuff.

NewYorkJon34 05-21-2011 12:27 AM

Will the engine need to be upgraded
with forged internals? I know the engine is rated at 550 tq, this car will be my daily driver, if I need to buy something to make it more reliable then I will.

dixon cider 05-21-2011 12:30 AM

Sam,

Congrats on the latest test info. You guys rock. I may come across as grumpy sometimes, but damn, I would have never expected this. I don't think I will need the VVEL control after all. :p May have to invest in the traction control now. WOW!! Keep up the good work and I will call you next week. Take care bud, hope the beer was cold!! Cheers...

KaienZ34 05-21-2011 12:34 AM

NewYorkJon34 05-21-2011 12:40 AM

Ya, I'm gonna call him tmr on my lunch break, I'm still amazed & excited knowing I'll be owning this amazing kit. Ya, Racelogic might be needed, but $2300 ouch, lol

dixon cider 05-21-2011 12:41 AM

I was just kidding. I'm not tracking the car, so I won't need it for now.

Couple things here to keep in mind,Good and bad

Good-Supercharge system makes less torque, abrupt torque is what is relay hard on the engine, so having the linear power and torque curve is easier on the engine then a TT set up

Bad- The engine on a supercharger will always work harder to get the same power then a TT set up .

500 + RWHP on a super charger is a lot of power for sure but there is couple things that you can do to minimize the tear and wear like running a larger pulley and not redlining the engine all the time .

Sam
