98: Great thread. You've got the balls to try something new, and you're perseverent. Yes, you had a bad deal initially. And still needing work.

That said, when this car is rockin', it's ROCKIN'! That in car vid was testimony.

And that you're ready to test at the strip and get a great time is also cool.

Props to you. Keep us posted.

Well best of luck then. Hope it does work out for you. I know for myself I will be going with something more people already have, and have little to no issues. I'll probably go with one of the gtm kits

Don't part out the kit man.......I have a feeling that you will regret it. I just can't stop thinking about how pumped I was after watching your vid with the ninja squirrels, lol. I should be back in the states next summer, so we can collaborate and make the Fairlady sing again if you want.

Side note: I plan on going to check out CJ Motorsports soon after I get back to the states. I planned on stockpiling some extra parts, but I am willing to contribute to your car's recovery (since you are one of three individuals that inspired me to make my move). I know it is depressing, but keep your head up big man. You pioneered some things for all of us whether you realize it of not..............

man i read this whole thing with excitement. i was cheering you on all the way. till the end. i feel your pain man. my car goes into limp mode for some unknown godly reason, and i cant figure it out. it dies out randomly. gtm keeps telling me that my car is mechanical failure, balbhlahblahbl. story kept changing for about 2 years. i took it into my own hands and fixed alot of problems i found on the installation they did. i'm the one car they ****** up on from many other cars. bad luck i guess. but props to you. like i said. this thread kept me on the edge as i was reading.

sorry to hear. next time its your time to shine man.

Have you guys seen S&R performance single turbo for the 350/370 HR/VHR?

Yes, I have. They were the first shop to tune my car. They actually wanted to build me a custom kit, but I went with Lutz becaue I was friends with their fabricator. What a disaster that ended up being. I'm sure S&R saw the flaws in Lutz's design and have had the idea in the back of their heads for a long time.

I've seen their kit on a 350HR, exhaust manifold is is kool looking!

Kingbaby 01-08-2012 08:16 PM

They are slow with putting out more about it, and they claim they aren't shipping the kit. Which sucks

You know this draws a big question to me and people will claim success but every tuner I talked to on the subject of tuning a car with dual maf sensors in a singal pipe can not really be done and will lead to issues. So is it really possible to do it.

Yeah, it is possible... Just don't fabricate my original Lutz build. A friend and I redid my intake piping back in August. It was dual 3" equal length piping. MAF readings were within 0.1 of each other.

In Septmeber (I beleive), I fixed Lutz's mistakes and redid my intake piping and did a new intercooler setup. We fixed Lutz's exhausts leaks as well. Fixed my power steering leak. The kit was finally 100%, still running on the TT base map tune that Z1 had sent me. The car was hauling :driving: I was impatient and wanted to get a baseline 1/4 mile time. In October, on my 3rd pass, I ran a 11.85 @ 119mph. I turned up the boost the next run from 12.4 to 13.1 psi and the car started ticking. Fast forward to now, I've sold my wheels, body kit, and a few misc things. I'm trying to get my motor covered under warranty due to oil consumption...my vin is February 2010, which falls under the VIN numbers that were affected by oil consumption.
