Or is this a true in-house product?

We never made it a secret that uses the Racelogic system in our traction control product offering, Same goes with our supercharger kit that they are HKS and ROTREX based head units.

Do you relay think that all the parts that are on your 370Z are made by Nissan !!!

As for VVEL controller i did not know of any company that offers such product, Do you ?

Sam

Will the VVEL controller help with the use of Long Tube Headers?

I wasn't attacking you on anything, I was just interested in who made the controller and I simply used Racelogic as an example.

I'm fully aware of where the products that are on Nissan's come from as I work at an OEM automotive supplier... So it's my job to know...

So no, I don't know of a company that offers such a VVEL product, that's why I asked you.

Really no need to get so defensive....

Absolutely,Triming back the high lift will create more boost and power .

Not being defensive, Was trying to understand what you actually meant . it is all good .

Back to the VVEL topic

With Vehicles that is running the HKS VPRO as an ems, the VPRO can do that. but we can't really expect everyone to run a VPRO on their car. We are working on an external controller that allows the end user to buy separately and control not only the VVEL but also the cam phasing as well.

We will have more info as we get closer, we are currently on the right track.

Intake and Exhuast advance/retard with overlap WILL work wonders in all areas and applications of boost, should be sweet.

Easy to loose power to if you are not right on top of the development, these systems take a lot of mastery thats for sure.

Looking forward to progression and data.

So excited, my Z is in winter storage considering how crappy NY winter has been thus far. Keep at it Sam we can't wait!

I hope the VVEL controller provides the results everyone's expecting!

Sam, are you speculating or do you have some results/indication that there's a lot to be gained from VVEL control?

Proof is in the way the VVEL system works in stock form. The cam duration is so aggressive at 300 that it causes valve overlap which in turn reduces boost and reduces power. Drop the cam duration and you'll be able to use more of the air that's entering the engine for combustion purposes which will create a huge increase in power.

Example, if a car is making 465whp on 93-octane at a 10.5:1 compression ratio (350z w/ HR motor) on the same pulley/charger that Sam offers in his stage 1 supercharger kit which only makes 8psi on our cars because of valve overlap, if we were to drop the duration to match that of the HR motor and with our 11:1 compression we would make more power then 465whp, and that's only on the stage 1 kit with the 14psi pulley (maxing out the C38-81 supercharger). The stage 2 kit would make ridiculous amount of power with the VVEL controller.

Just my 2 cents.
