This news definitely made my day, VVEL has greatly limited tuning and I'm blown away by this news. My only question/concern is that will it be via uprev or will those already with uprev be forced to opt for a completely new possibly standalone setup. While I want vvel cracked standalone engine management is $$$$.

No it is not via the Uprev and it may never be sense even Nissan does not control the VVEL via the ecu, it has its separate stand alone controller to do that, Our short term goal is to have full control over the engine and to do so we will be utilizing an external software and hardware to control the the cam phasing and the VVEL separately. keep in mind that having more control is not always better, More control does become more beneficial for complex modifications like supercharging an engine witch such high VE like the VQ37VHR but you may never be able to out do the factory valve timing for a stock engine set up.

Stay tuned

Sam

Hey Sam,

You PM'd the other day after almost two months from my last PM to you. You said you got behind and that you would have my info soon. I see you are on the boards here so I was wondering why you haven't PM'd me back?

Don't wanna make a sell?

Call him. He is much better with phone calls. he usually comes on the boards when he is at home since he runs around like a chicken with no head on.

Sam, you are running blow-through MAF, right? Why not just do a VTA BOV? The MAFs are up by the intake plenum, no?

You can vent the valve to atmosphere, You can run the setup both ways

So is the vent return just for noise reasons?

You mentioned you have test cars at the shop. Do you have a S/C and TT test car? I would love to get a feel for these both as I am trying to decide what car to get this spring and a GTM'ed 370Z is in a dead-heat with an EVO X.
