Shumby, I'm jealous!
I didn't say he was stupid, I just gave my opinion which comes from experience of having long distance work done about 6 years ago. I find your opinion of my opinion highly opinionated..

And my opinion is that you all can have your own opinion. So how many times can you use the word opinion in one sentence with meaning?

MMC racing. Do you drive a 370 or a GTR. You have to remember that us Candians drive very fast up here in God's country. A 370z only has one speed. ( wide open). We like to drive them wide open. With that nice cold air in Shumbys province his car will make more RWHP.

i can not wait to take mine to the drag strip.
" soon to be a stock GTR's worst nightmare"
11.7 here we come.
305 35 18 drag radials ( should have gone with larger tires)
Sam I will be needing that 10 lb pulley !!!!!!!

Been down that route, then demodded because I was going to sell, and now keeping and remodding the car. In the next few weeks I'm doing intakes, injectors, pumps, downpipes, midpipes, and tuned on E85.

DD is the G37 though and I'd like a little more get up and go so I'm watching the progress of these kits.. We sold our Vortech powered 350z earlier in the year.

So I have heard that the 7AT is the same tranny as the Infiniti M56 and that handles well over 300 TQ, is that right?

MMC. you are totally missing what i want out of my car. I am happy with the 390 HP and the TQ. could we have gone more yes. Did i drive it normal all the way home no. I drove 2300 miles in 24.5 hrs. only stopping for gas and redbull. did not even stop to eat. I needed to be home to get my passport out for a work visa and did not have time to waste. I was not going to be happy with 8 PSI without a TQ converter and a VB upgrade. Why I would go wth the 8 PSI pully now and risk damaging a Tranny on my way home and then looses my job because i did not get my work visa in time is beyond me. Or have my wife drivng the car while I am away and have the tranny fail because she was pushing the car too hard was not what I would call Smart. Weh i get the VB upgrade and a new TQ converter I will go with the smaller pully. But not until then. You guys forget this is a DD. NOt a track car. I drive this car and put more miles on it then 80% of you guys. This is what I wanted to do and the numbers i wanted to get. Will i go bigger later? Yes. But not until I am happy with the tranny and how it will last.

Now get back on topic and stop talking about the GTR

Thats what I thought...

This car isnt yours and I could care-less what YOU would have done. A shop can never assume a client will baby his car back and I for one am glad they took the time to explain that it may be reaching the limits of the stock A/T. Smart move and proved to hold true considering how this mad man drove back. He can do the upgrades later and reflash remotely. Not as big of a deal as your making it out to be.

Shumby - I'm glad YOU got what YOU wanted out of this car. Not only is this a testament to the potential of this setup but also cements the claims by GTM. Especially for us 8psi - M/T guys.
