I suggest some of your google this : "Forged Perfomance expirence!!!". I know it is misspelled but this is how the OP titled each of his original threads. There are many threads on various G35,G37 and 350Z. I am surprised to see this judge, jury and executioner actions this community has decided to take on. You haven't heard any evidence yet and the community is ready to bash and defame a legitimate business.

It's funny to see how people's feelings about certain companies are swayed at the drop of a hat. Google "Forged Perfomance expirence!!!" Sit down and read all that has been posted and said. Its easy to sit back and bash without a true context of what happened. Forged has explained themselves and their reasons for their actions. I rest assured Forged will explain their situation.

Being a good man doesn't justify these kind of business practices. Ohhh and btw sharif approved a majority of these modifications... He can't blame it on his employees... He is the captain of the forged performance ship and is responsible for every vehicle that leaves his shop! I for one would never ever ever let a build like that go on in my shop! I work on hi end race bikes with their electrical systems, data acquisition, camera systems and race prep/installs. Each bike is inspected and worked on like a jet fighter. Everything is accounted for and triple checked! I have never had a customer complaint that wasn't immediately addressed and fixed at ourcost not the customers!

I'll wait to hear their response to this thread, since apparently the other threads got flamed for poor English. I'd rather see them respond to a thread posted with better English, and undoubtedly, clearer facts.

If their explanation was so great on other threads, it should have just been cut n pasted four hours ago.

This isn't a single event and there are several stories that are yet to be posted of projects just like this one from forged
performance!

Here is an example of contradictions and different stories:

OP's Post here on the370z.com states: "I was made to pay for parts for a new short block. I never wanted a built block. I wanted the safe 500whp promised on my stock motor."

OP's Post on G37 Forum states : So shariff agrees to fix the car at no charge, back to Stock! we said screw it lets build it, we ordered upgraded rods and pistons!!!

I do this for a living. I hear two stories and find discrepancies. I don't think a cut and paste response would be advisable. I have no dog in this fight. However, as an advocate of fairness and justice, I hate to see things like this blow up on the forums, with such a one sided bashing and as I stated before, border line defamation.

There are way more stories of success and satisfaction about Forged. Like I have stated before, true Z veterans( people have owned more than one Z and longer for than a year) know about Forged and their products and customer satisfaction. I am just saying... A simple Google search would display this.

Let's see what they have to say to defend themselves.

vipor 04-09-2010 06:41 PM

"parts for a new short block" is actually messed up as well, unless he's talking about the rods and pistons for said "short block" (motor.)

WOW, props for going prem, but it's not like you know the true story either.

as I stated, we're critiquing 2 things here:
1 - the work
2 - the lack of explanation

bullitt5897 04-09-2010 06:41 PM

I can tell you that sharif most likely had a hand in convincing him on building the block rather than going back stock.

Trips 04-09-2010 06:42 PM

then people need to stop chewing the fat, and wait for the other side of the story with facts.

vipor 04-09-2010 06:42 PM

"throw it all away" or.... "make some money"

Actually, I may know more than you think. However, it is neither my place or job to state what I know. At the end, it doesn't matter. This is my point. This is between OP and Forged. Let Forged come and defend themselves. Then, I guess everything that occurs is fair game, for the purposes of forum discussion.

Subscribed! fascinating thread. If Forged is that bad, I can't imagine how they'd be in business one year after this alleged incident. In for updates, and very skeptical on the veracity of the OP, sorry, pics do NOT tell the story. If this truly is the install from Forged, find a new line of work. If this is the OP's disaster pre-Forged, I smell fish.

bullitt5897 04-09-2010 06:45 PM

I have read all the stories and I have heard both sides of the story. Now I am waiting on forged performance's "official response" and not the I loaned him my wife's car response. Let's leave it to the facts! Why did sharif let that car leave his shop? Why did he let his employees butcher that kit?

frost 04-09-2010 06:47 PM

I agree on the point that there are likely MANY more success stories than horror stories. They wouldn't have the rep they do if they didn't. And I'm not going to say whether Sharif pushed him into buying parts, or how that worked out, I'll leave that to them.

However, the only thing I wonder about is the quality of that install. The blown motor I can go either way on, but how do you let a car like that leave the shop?

I have several sources in and around forged performance who could verify this story. Being local helps in knowing what is going on and the players involved. This is a car out of forged performance they are the only ones who attempted to install this kit and the car was sent to GTM to fix the problems! The pictures do tell the story of the build quality and lack of care shown to Juan's car!

LaSeeno 04-09-2010 06:51 PM

I'm sure Forged will reply when they get around to it. For those complaining at lack of response. They did respond, saying they will post their version soon. I'm sorry but 4 hours is not a lot of time during normal business hours. Maybe they are taking their time to give this thread the well thought out and documented response that "appears" neccesary.

Chances are those who would jump on them before hearing their side are potential customers they dont want anyway.

Just saying...

As for pics, the goggles, they do nothing. :p

Geez, these guys race for crissakes. If they showed up on track with a car like that they'd be banned for life. I still smell fish, man.

Less than 3 months ago, you had them listed as one of your "sponsors". How long did you know about these horror stories? If they were so bad, why in the world would you let them "sponsor" you?

Forged has a great reputation that's why you seek them out to be your sponsor.

I don't know much about the situation, but I'm pretty sure he gave them the benefit and ended up paying for it.

I'd let the KKK sponsor me if they wanted to invest enough money in my car :bowrofl:

I'd let em sponsor me if they'd get rid of one sales guy at one of my vendors :ugh2:

You see that as a discrepancy and I read it as someone who A) doesn't speak English well and probably didn't represent the situation properly and B)didn't want to risk another OEM block. Always differing points of view.

I have *now* heard both sides of this story. Until today I had only heard Sharif's side. I can honestly say that his side doesn't add up. Juan's does. The pictures do not lie. Me? No dog in this fight, either. But, I am always going to speak up when their is obvious Vendor bias.

As I read it, this is how the car left Forged and arrived at GTM? How could this be remotely something that the OP did on his own? Seriously, posts like this are utterly inane.

If I read this thread correctly, Juan took the car to FP with 1500 miles on it and "no prior work performed". People seem to be asking a lot of questions that are answered in the original post.

No vendor bias as there has never been any money exchanged between Forged and myself. I am speaking to Forged's reputation from the countless satisfied customers. Like I said, a simple google search or breeze through my350z.

I have never had a windshield sticker with Forged's name on it...cough cough

"it means that, like me, he's a rolling free advertisement for Forged Peformance... but, since my car is becoming so well known, i'm going to start renting windshield space...

HEAR THAT, sharif!? i need some free labour or i'm going back to the "clean" look! *lol*"

The comment re: vendor bias wasn't directed at you. And, yes, as you well know, I was a big FP supporter as well as a good friend of Sharif's - which means, I know Sharif's side of all the stories. I know the good, the bad and the ugly. It also means that it took a LOT of evidence and comparing stories (such as you were doing) for me to come to the conclusions that I have.

Trust me when I say that there was no one who wanted to believe none of this was the truth more than I.

I had read the Juan thread on my350... But didn't get the full story until I had to remove my car from FP for other family reasons. So after getting several annonymous messages from un-named people and sources incouraging me to dig further I did just that... What did I find a whole slew of things that made me drop FP as a sponsor. I have too many other sponsors that rely on my good name and my build to have it all brought down by a shady sponsor hence why I dropped spawn aero too!!!

Your cool with me bro. I know alot of people hate, but I kinda like your assholeness. You back it up with facts, and strong knowledge on forced induction. I can respect that!

Back to the story - yes this horrible. Either way, if any of those images were a result of FP's install work, nothing more can be said except, damn!...

I really want to believe its not true and I wait for they're response...
