So we have a bunch of Z1 and IP folks looking at this thread... when will Forged or GTM get in here so we can hear the whole story?

bullitt5897 04-09-2010 01:51 PM

Now you guys know what I was talking aboutand why my car will not go back there!

NewlyIMPORTed 04-09-2010 01:53 PM

Man i never had a problem with Forged but i never did anything to complicated with them but now ill just stick with Injected engineering like i did with my CBE

bullitt5897 04-09-2010 01:54 PM

GTM actually fixed Juan's car! This work was strictly done by Forged Performance and when Juan got his car back he turned to GTM to help him fix and finish the build.

I'm not sure what GTM has need to say. If I read the OP's post correctly, GTM is the one who finished this build and I would guess that they are the ones who took those pictures.

All I can say to this thread is FSCKING WOW.

vipor 04-09-2010 01:57 PM

wow. sorry you had to be the eye-opener..... the filter thing was the most "whoa." the rest just seemed like laziness and inexperience...

fuct 04-09-2010 02:00 PM

so this was originally a GTM stage 3 kit that forged was trying to install..... so was anything wrong with the actual kit? or was this all poor install?

FuszNissan 04-09-2010 02:01 PM

Looks like poor install. Like someone didn't read the directions.

Juruki 04-09-2010 02:02 PM

^^ its kinda obvious that it was a poor install. zip ties, cutting frame, crushing tubes, bolts missing and loose, filter rubbing against tire????
poor brand new car

Caravanshaka 04-09-2010 02:03 PM

wow...there's a lot wrong with that install, stuff I'd never try and jerry rig in my own driveway let alone get paid to do in a shop.

vipor 04-09-2010 02:04 PM

IMO the car should be stripped and motor should be pulled for anything beyond bolt-ons. Some SC kits might be able to be installed with only the bumper coming off, but that's not a sure thing.

ChrisSlicks 04-09-2010 02:22 PM

That backyard turbo install by the 2 drunk kids was more professional than this, jesus.

Hopefully GTM took it apart and put it back together the right way because that job was just shameful.

nogoodname 04-09-2010 02:28 PM

Dang... that looks really bad. Only heard things about it but never saw the pics til now.
