Twin turbo setup

I'm interested in a twin turbo setup that can produce more than 700rwhp. I have looked at other turbocharger but i found a turbonetics one that could work because it is made to handle up to 1000hp. Would I need to strengthen the internals and what else would be necessary cooling, tuning, and tubing wise. I have no set budget, so I would be able to spend a substantial amount of money. If any autoshops are interested please PM me.

you definitely would need to strengthen the engine if you are going to pump out 700 RWHP.

if I remember correctly the engine can handle about 500 HP maximum

If you are 100% go with this, then I would talk to Sam@GTM & Sharif@Forged, yes you will need to upgrade the internals but that is just one step of many you will need to do to hit 700whp (or more).

Vegitto-kun 04-05-2010 06:22 PM

yeah.

like

internals.
CAI
CBE+LTH
retuning the engine.
some GT-R sticker for extra HP
new clutch
and so on

I do want to see a 700 HP 370 launch

Expect to pay at least...18-20k.

You need a TT kit and a new built block.

As someone said, call Sharif.

or he can spend $20 for multiple gt-r stickers and still get 700rwhp

in all seriousness, you will need to completely rebuild the engine to take that kind of power. new set of internals, intake / exhaust system, (insert component here) cooler, transmission upgrades, blah blah, etc. RCZ probably has it about right with ~20k lol

bullitt5897 04-05-2010 06:28 PM

Hey guys you won't have to wait to long to see a 700hp 370z launch. I will be the first to get there thanks to sam @ GTM!!! You guys need to do a LOT of reading before you jump into this arena! Expect to invest atleast $20-30k to get there! I will have that much and more invested into my Z... 1000rwhp 370z coming to a street real soon!

CBRich 04-05-2010 06:30 PM

What is all this CAI and header talk? He said turbo.

bullitt5897 04-05-2010 06:31 PM

That's exactly way I was thinking lol

Vegitto-kun 04-05-2010 06:32 PM

even with a turbo you still need a good Cold air intake and headers for optimal airflow. don't want the exhaust and intake being a bottleneck

bullitt5897 04-05-2010 06:33 PM

Hahahaha seriously... Do you know anything about turbo systems?

Vegitto-kun 04-05-2010 06:35 PM

honestly not a whole lot. but you can hardly just keep the stock exhaust.

:roflpuke2:

@Bullitt -- how pissed would you be if you weren't the first 1000 whp 370?

Well, CAI & LT headers = not compatible with Turbo applications. :icon18:

If you have tons of cash laying around for repairs--do it.

Otherwise, I can't see anyone who is asking for who to contact or what to purchase being someone who should get a TT setup.

Yep, I'm a hater.
