Hey now, I have made some progress with things, just need to pick wheels (which will probably be another 6 months with me trying to find the right ones).
I do have one thing set in stone I know I want and just waiting till this Christmas to buy as my personal present: Bride Japan Edition Low Max Stradius Seats, so if people want to donate to help fund those. :D

He's still using the VQ37 block, just bored and stroked to 4.5L. The max size you can bore out the VQ (if I remember) is ~4.2L.

I believe the VQ35 and VQ37 are the same basic block, the VQ37 simply uses a longer stroke. Everything else on the engines are different, heads, crank, rods etc.

You know what I meant-the starting point for the 1000hp kit is a stock VQ37-but it has been bored/stroked to achieve 4.5L.

The VQ35 and VQ37 actually are rather similar-the VQ37 is an updated version. I'm not saying they're clones, or just a few parts differ, but it's a twin-intake, 95.5mm bore, all-aluminum 4-valve-per-cylinder DOHC engine. The VQ37 increases bore by 4.6mm, introduces VVEL, and increases compression from 10.6:1 to 11.0:1. They're not all that different.

To answer everyones questions yes the short blocks are identical minus the stroke. The heads and upper areas of the block are completely different.

YEP!!! Thats why I am fairly confident I will be one of the only 1000rwhp 370z's in existence :happydance:

If money is no issue, aim higher than 1000 WHP. Knock it out of the park. Where is the build thread? I saw you are no longer affiliated with Forged and ended the build due to financial reasons about two weeks ago. Less text/talk and more pics of build. :)

Don't believe everything you found on the internets. Did they post a dyno plot, no. They never posted their drag strip run either. If you play with the load settings on the dyno you can make it show all kinds of crazy numbers.

Ask and you shall receive. While you can do that to a dyno, I think the track time is the proof we need. Check out the video below.

I am a veteran of my350z and the Z car in general. I do not post anything without some sort of research into creditability. 1000 whp is no easy task. Throwing money at it is half the battle. So that is why I said while he is aiming high, he might as well aim for truly unchartered territory...1300 and up.

With a 4.5L stroker kit that Forged makes, what kind of hp would that make with just the engine?
