So maybe for others with the same question: I decided to go for a custom 3" intake with K&N filter in front off the wheel. The filter that was the max. size with fewest adjustments was the K&N RU-1045, which is around 4 times larger then the stock SOHO filter. Only had to delete the headlight washer unit. 3,5" intake is possible but then you have to delete quite a bit of your front chassis.
