You're most likely correct. Yesterday the car didn't explode on me. Ran it on the 1k plus map. Ran my friend's ZL1 that gapped me by bus lengths. Ran the car few times back to back. No issues. No overheating. No throttles of any sort. Car was running on 31 psi pounds and nothing happened except that I learned 10 speeds are bada$$.

Everything was good to go.

I am sure you spun all over the place. 700-800whp is about all you can control with your right foot. Go above that and the spin fest will ensue.

Not really. Tried from a 40 and a 60 roll. Had traction. Car hooked.

You have Uprev. You can't do boost by gear, traction control tuning, etc. This is where Ecutek is much better. It can be used as an interm until a standalone can be installed.

I'm not on "market" UpRev.

I'm honestly not sure exactly what method they used, I didn't build the car at all I was just the one tuning it. Had to make changes to the fuel system because the one designed by the previous guy didn't have enough flow for E85. Engine seemed to be holding well until we got into the higher boost levels I saw some coolant pressure spikes on the logger, so we will see how long it keeps it together for.

Wow. Blackbox tuning has a plug and play solution for the emtron kv16 I believe. Cost is really compared to a motec or starting from scratch with a haltech nexus unit

I have EMtron for the Z/G works really well, once we go that route the car will have a custom traction control strategy coded by me, and i'll be able to get rid of a ton of "work around" i had to do to make the stock ecu happy with this setup.

unfortunately not for his case, his car is a 2008 and i could not get race rom working on his car without swapping out a newer ecu, which we would have been better off putting that money and effort into getting the EMTron in the car. Plus, it was a good way to show that even though UpRev is behind on the motorsport features their software can still make 4 digit power numbers.

Welcome to the "Wonder if my chit is going to hold together club"......
If there is nothing done to keep the cylinder pressure in check they don't last long.

OP, your car was at a lower whp (like 5xx to 7xx) before right? I believe I’ve seen this car attending tx2k some years back? Just wondering if My brain still works…

You'd have to ask Tay for the break down of what he did with the other shops that built the motor. There are a few things he did that no other shops done. But you'd have to pry that info out of him.

It hasn't exploded yet. I told my car it's cool if you go Allah Alkbar on me. It wouldn't be the first time either.

Crazy what you can find out when you research and start knocking on doors.
