Emailed Juan asking wtf this all meant as they shipped the TC with a shiny sheet in a clear plastic envelope which had all the clearances they allegedly measured on it.

So many people don’t let the facts get in the way of their BS

It's unfortunate that Sasha and Boosted Performance doesn't interface with their third-party vendors on behalf of their clients.

Their response was:

"Hello [Betty],

The unit was damaged internal to see what caused the issue so that’s why it was covered under warranty."

I asked if they had specifics on what caused the damage. The response:

"Production advised the clearances might have tight which caused the wheel to rub and caused the failure. All damaged parts have been replaced or repaired and it is ready to ship. Please contact shipping to proceed."

So there ya go folks! Tight clearance. In a turbocharger. Who woulda thought?

So a heads up with anyone who sends their turbo for repair. They have to destroy parts to tear it apart to fix it. From looking at Madwi's turbo. Looks like the bearings are heated up and then dropped on the shaft, as it's an interference fit between the bearing ID and the shaft OD. Once that is done. There is no moving it to make an adjustment.
