It's nothing big yet, just the car idling and a light bump on the revs. The exhaust sounds so sick in person! Nice deep tone, with a bit of gurgle after you let off the throttle! Can't wait to hear it under full boost on the dyno!

Can we get that sound from say....a blue 370Z sans the turbo kit? :icon17: If so, I know someone who'd just love that!! :yum:

Definitely interested in dyno results, both from using a 2.5" exhaust and it being a red car. :p

I can't wait to see it on the dyno and some number posted up.. you're shooting for roughly 475RWHP right Lou?

BerkTech 01-27-2010 03:10 PM

Solid work!

Black370ZTT 01-27-2010 03:27 PM

Exhaust looks and sounds good, hopefully dyno chart comes soon

Had myself a twenty minute convo this afternoon with Jon about that very thing! Looking promising, too! ;)

OMGWTFBBQ 01-28-2010 09:12 PM

What gauges are those? Are those the Defi-Link gauges? 60mm right? They don't look like the Advance BF/CR or the Racer ones. How'd you mount those? Did you have to remove the entire dash assembly to access the screws holding the triple meter?

Haha sorry for all of the questions. I'm just really interested in changing the triple meter out for some Defi gauges. Thanks!

Dude -- did you drive up to the shop today? I was driving back to VA from Rockville around noon and saw a smurf blue 370 heading the opposite direction on 495. I thought it might have been you.

Mirnes 01-29-2010 01:09 PM

Oh man this thing will be crazy! Can't wait to see it done.

FuszNissan 01-29-2010 02:10 PM

Dyno....Dyno....Dyno....:excited:

No, that wasn't me.....I was supposed to go up there today and get the same exhaust as Lance and John....but I think I'm gonna wait and see if I get the newer version. They'd need my car for about two days to custom fit mine due to the Berk & Headers......but I think it'll be worth it. As long as I got things ready by May, I'll be happy.

Reaper42 01-29-2010 02:37 PM

Is this a true dual exhuast? It looks to me, when he is reving it, that exhaust gas is only coming out the right exhuast pipe.

^ New exhaust! This is new version of our 2.5" exhaust made just for Lou's car looks so good, I think this is going to replace the current 370Z 2.5" Exhaust we make!

-jon

True Dual!!!

XwChriswX 01-29-2010 02:50 PM

I thought having an H or X design helped with flow/hp gains?

For NA

XwChriswX 01-29-2010 02:54 PM

Ok cool. So then having the F.I. exhaust if I'm planning to go TT at some point wouldn't be a good idea? I don't wanna have to buy an exhaust now, then buy another one later?

FuszNissan 01-29-2010 03:00 PM

Depends on how this dyno goes. I am hoping to see more low end tq and hp with a 2.5" exhaust. 3" is ideal though, more free flowing and less stress on the engine.

XwChriswX 01-29-2010 03:02 PM

Is AAM selling this exhaust in a 3" version yet? Or is it still in development, cause if it's the best for the TT setup, I may just go with it now.

FuszNissan 01-29-2010 03:04 PM

They have a similar design that is 3" that Black370TT has on his car. But yes you will benefit buying a supporting mod now, if you plan on TT'ing in the future. It really depends on your goals as well.

XwChriswX 01-29-2010 03:09 PM

My goal is 500Whp. I just don't wanna buy a part now, to have to replace it with a different part later. I do plan to TT when the $$$ is right. So if 3" is the way to go, then thats what I'll do. Will it hurt me more than help me before I go TT or is it not even really worth it?

FuszNissan 01-29-2010 03:11 PM

You will lose low end tq with the 3" on NA. But it will help you in the long run if you are going to TT down the road. Then you can also buy clutch and flywheel upgrade down the road as well, then oil cooler and spacer for the pan. It just start piecing things bit by bit.

vipor 01-29-2010 03:13 PM

Will the 2.5" vs the 3 possibly give more torque or something? I'm confused, I just always thought with a turbo bigger is better, period.

What if I'm doing it to a 7AT... :wtf2:

FuszNissan 01-29-2010 03:14 PM

I want more low end tq and power. that is what I am hoping for

vipor 01-29-2010 03:14 PM

whoa, he really did just do that.... :koolaidwall:
