LOL yeah the tech is not having much fun, a lot more involved to taking the engine out than a 350Z, the real fun will be when we get it on our dyno :)

So, is dropping the motor required or does it just make the job easier?

you may be able to do it with in, it has been done with the 350Z VQ35DE and VQ35HR but you get a better angle to the installation of the exhaust manifolds and turbos so you can torque them down better. When I took my engine out in my 350Z to put in the built engine I had some nuts missing from the exhaust manifold studs and we did the initial install with the engine in.

If you have the facility and tools the engine comes out relatively easy and you will save yourself a lot of heartache and cussing trying to get to things in tight spaces :)

Question, I plan on turboing but one thing.. where do you put the oilcooler when you get the intercooler on.. does it sit in the middle?

I think infront of it? since it's so small it should affect the IC much.

im new to turbo's and such...i was more into supercharger so forgive. But if u are turbo or twin turbo and have a big *** intercooler...is there a point for a oil cooler kit?
