On my NA “stock” motor I saw knock with 92 and 94 octane. I thought it was phantom knock signal. So, just to verify, I swapped the tune to E85 logged some pulls. I had the exact same knock signals at the top of 3rd and middle of fourth at WOT just like the logs on gas. This convinced me that it was mechanical noise, and so we reduced the sensor sensitivity for all maps. I kept the knock detection active, and have not seen any knock correction since. Seems like knock detection will go off at 5 degrees of retard or more with Ecutek. |
