Deal. I'm shooting for 8's and I'm not exclusively gunning for a drag car.

Don't you need a full cage to pass tech and need a parachute for over 140 or 150mph?

gbrettin 01-08-2019 03:22 PM

Yeah. It might be a one and done deal.

Well, the machine shop is aholes and elbows on my motor. Got 2 guys working on it. John worked his magic and got them motivated. My turbo's are shipping out from Fast Intentions today also. Moving along now.

Spoke with Jon today and talked him in to swapping motors mine for yours - and putting your motor into my car ...
Cost me a little $$$ jingle $$$ to convince him it was OK, but it will be well worth it.
Hope you don't mind.

(just funnin' witch'ya)

I did speak with Jon though - they have the BR Racing scavenge pump now in the shop and the RPM roll bar should be there later this week.
Most everything is now done or in place to be done.

Don't worry, they are stealing your intercooler (CAC) for me since I am such a great customer. LOL

You could be fast as crap if you get that auto tranny figured out. Need a billet triple disk converter, up the valvebody pressure, a few billet shafts, etc.

I have been Drag Racing for 2.5 years 20+ times a year with no issues so far. I have the Fast Intentions built 7AT not the Level 10 everyone complains about

...lol...
It took them all of 1 day to fabricate and weld it all together ~~~ then 3 weeks to find a box big enough to ship it in.
True story ~ No foolin'
And you wonder why builds take so long

...lol... The CJM I/C is so big (deep) that MA had to fabricate a one~off crash bar to clear it.

I was going to go with Z1 but I also forgot about them until after I installed the kit, so I skipped it.

I went with the Z1 solids ... I'm figuring I need to shake my molars loose
(I did go with the urethane transmission and diff bushings)

Z1 mounts are solid (pun intended :tiphat:). I ran them forever in my Z. There are also some new ones on the scene that are interesting <shrug>

I run Z1 solid mounts and the urethane transmission mount. I didn't notice any real increase in vibration. I think you get more vibration in you use a solid trans mount with it.
