only 3 days until the press release. Well until the sales men swing their words and say they did not say first of march.

Lol you are funny man, you are so funny I am glad you're installing the GTM kit soon. You deserve it. Added to ignore.

To his credit, Stillen did say late February/early March and joked about how March 14th is still early March. Looks like more of a reality now.
Oh well, I'm sure the wait will be worthwhile. I for one will be letting more of my warranty expire before I supercharge anyway.

What clutch/flywheel combo are peeps going with? Is the JWT set solid?

RCZ 03-11-2010 04:39 PM

^ I was wondering about that myself. I think the JWT should be fine. Seems to be the popular choice around here.

As far as the date, they are still on for early March. They will probably have something for us as soon as they have numbers from the kit on the z. They should be close considering they were swapping it over a few days ago.

Perhaps you're mistaking us for someone else. I will acknowledge once again that we said early march...

I think everyone knows where you stand so the following is for the unbiased member's of the forum. We have fallen a little behind schedule as the switch to the Z took a little longer than expected. We didn't find any issues during the switch but the guy's took a little longer taking photos and making notes for the instructions than we expected. Everything is coming along well though and the Z is on the dyno! Steve was out this morning with the engineer's during the dyno session....They were finally able to get him to stop drifting the car in empty parking lots!

You guys are ok by me. I'm in the camp that says 'release it when it's correct'. I have no doubt you got a little stung by the exhaust issue I read about back in '09, we all learn from our mistakes, at least those of us who haven't finished learning :icon17:.

Cut Shumby some slack, he's on an oil rig somewhere in Siberia, have some compassion.

Kyle, i want to apologize if this question has been answered already, but i really don't want to read through all the bickering in the past 10 pages of this thread...

Is the kit going to have a "locked engine management"?

Or will i be able to do my own tuning?

Thanks Kyle for your response :tiphat:

Good question and it depends on which kit you go with.

If you decide to purchase the CARB kit then yes, by law we have to ship the kit fully tuned with a locked tuning device.

However, we will also have the tuner kit which will allow you to do whatever you want with the tuning.

I too am wondering the same thing. What clutch/FW package is not going to make a ton of racket and vibration? I know most lightweight FWs have this side effect. Any one with experience of a setup that does not?
