Nice to see these numbers on the BP kit. I'm going e85 before summer. You inspire me. Just gotta figure out my fuel set up. Any issues with your set up so far?

I previously had the Aeromotive 340 but was running out of fuel, so switched over to the Walbro 450 and she seems to be very satisfied.

If I recall correctly I got both, the rubber is part of the insulation and the braided line is beneath it.

Im pretty sure only the 2015 and up 6MT Nismo's come with a 3.90 final drive, but i could be wrong.

OP awesome progress with the build, are playing in TX2k or are you sitting out.

Just a spectator, except for some times when playing in the streets...

I noticed you said you switched to pump gas on 8psi. Have you ran higher boost on pump gas yet? If so what kind of numbers are you putting down on pump gas?

I mainly run pump gas on the 8psi setting.

93 octane 8psi she made 480 wheel horsepower, 4th gear Dyno pull.

Is the 450 a straight drop in or does it require going to an inline filter?

The 450 is a drop in but the basket does have to be modified, I am also running CJM fuel return so I don't know if the external filter is required. Charles over at CJ Motorsports has the full instructions in a PDF file.

phunk 04-18-2017 06:07 PM

The 450 requires the stock filter to be cut out to make room for the larger diameter bottom section of the pump.

I did explore making an extension kit to raise the stock filter so that the 450 could be installed without cutting it out, but I deemed it to be a waste of resources. This is because the stock filter element is not technically "rated" for e85. While I ran the stock filter with E85 for a long time without issues, it would be technically improper for me to recommend or advise others to do it, and therefore I elected to not make a product that promotes it.

Rather, I just updated all levels of the 370z fuel systems to include an external inline filter with a microglass element option for E85 compatibility. By eliminating the use of the internal filter, fuel system reliability was also increased by bypassing a potential pressure leak area (the stock filter housing). I figured all win-win with the only side effect being the kits increasing in price by the cost of a filter. Small price to pay for so much gained IMHO.

Get the BP Kit, you will not be disappointed as it turns our Z'$ into a real monster.

I will admit I took some L's over this past weekend running against a 950 and 750 horsepower GT-R, but it was nice to see how she stacked up against her modified Big Brother.

Got big props at the meat being told how she really moves out.

Now I want MORE!!! :roflpuke2:

Larger turbine housing will bring that back down. Although outside temperature is unknown.

The standard 2.5

Z has been running great, even with this HOT Houston weather!

That's good news! I'm in Las Vegas it's consistently 110*F here. I'm excited to put my kit on!

Oh wow! I just found this thread! Nice build. I need to check out your Z sometime! I am in the katy area!

After getting more key ingredients from Charles over at CJ Motorsports I returned to JMS Racing for a revised kill mode!

James10694 01-11-2018 10:52 PM

You're going to have to update your sig now! Serious question. Are you worried about that being too much tq for the stock block to handle? I'm currently sitting at 620/490 and I'm wondering if there's room for more power without compromising the engines limits.

Boosted Performance 01-11-2018 11:22 PM

Awesome work, and great results.

Time for a larger turbine :) , maybe a bigger turbo.

Awesome numbers! Must be a blast. Makes me wanna get the cjm upgrade to run e85! Congrats

Has there been someone who has pushed over 750whp reliably for a long period of time on a stock engine?

There are only a few that are over 650whp and fewer that have hit 700 and maybe 4 or 5 that have hit 750. Torque is the killer of oem rods and pistons. Most tuners stop at about 500 to 565 max torque a stock block.

Time for some internals! :roflpuke2:

On a real note this is kill mode that I doubt I will rarely use until I get those internals this time next year. I now have 4 maps programmed, one at wastegate, 10psi, 13psi, & 16psi.

:iagree:

And the torque generated by a single turbo is worse than twins for the same HP level. That single comes on like a freight train.

jwick 01-12-2018 11:38 AM

What WG spring are running? It has to be more than the 1/2BAR or you couldn’t get 16psi.

And at least a couple of those grenaded their engines in the process or shortly afterwards.

I think most of that is user error.

Yup, user and tuner! Users tend to turn boost up beyond tuner recommendation or settings. Some tuners should not be allowed to touch a vehicle.

Good tuners are hard to come by. It’s about time for me to get retuned for corn and Ecutek.
