AAM Competition RHD Twin Turbocharger System Underway!

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...psr4itmuvw.jpg

AAM Competition is now in the process of developing a RHD twin turbocharger system for the 370Z and 350Z HR! After countless inquiries regarding RHD setups, we decided that we could not let our Nissan friends all over the globe go boost-less! No matter which side you are on, the AAM Competition Twin Turbo system will transform your car into a completely new animal! :driving:

The wrong side drivers will like this. :icon17:

Optimiser 05-31-2016 06:17 PM

You mean the correct side drivers...:roflpuke2:

Hey Cosmo,

We are currently revising the turbo manifold and other components for RHD clients! We are anxiously awaiting completion and delivery of the intake manifolds as well! I have posted casting/production pics in the intake manifold thread. Please take a looK!

Will be interested to see this when it's finished for my 2014 nismo here in the UK! Hopefully pricing doesn't rule it out compared to a decent supercharger kit. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9e7c9cceb9.jpg

I can think of 4 people in Aus (including me) who are about to pull the trigger on a GTM/GAMMA/REVZONE kit with their disco potatoes.

Wow this is great news, so i guess this means we get to use Borg Warner EFR's?

We are all looking for instant response / torque down low not concerned about rwhp numbers tbh, so i'll have to look if EFR's come in the 380-400hp range.

Wow cant wait

Yes indeed! Our systems will hit those numbers easily. You can push for more power and still have lightening quick response. Check your PM's!

Where's the updated info on this completed system? I'd love to know more about this before pulling the trigger

shadow85 06-18-2018 07:54 AM

Well my RHD kit is installed finally.

Let's just say it was basically a LHD kit that required a huge amount of modifications/fab work to fit on RHD. It was in no way a RHD bolt-on!

On a positive note, the quality of the kit is pretty good.

That's disappointing that the kit required much modification to fit your RHD car when it's sold as a RHD kit, but glad you got it sorted.

I got it sorted for sure, but at what cost? It was huge to have a LHD kit fit our RHD veichle.

I am not the only one, there was another customer in QLD and another in UK who had similar and many issues with fitment.

Fitment might be fine for the LHD guys, but for us, it's a totally different story. :(

Anyways, I gotta be happy that we finally got there and it seems to be all good now, pending tune.

VSS370z 06-19-2018 10:11 PM

Glad you were able to sort things out but that's still a huge foul by AAM selling a kit that the customer have to make quite significant modifications to make it work. In my opinion that's unacceptable.

I too think it is not fair, but what can I do?

I have a feeling these RHD kits so far that I know of were prototypes, and still being properly developed for RHD by AAM. That's my guess.

They might have perfected it by now, but who knows?

Unfortunately that's pretty much par for the course with AAM. They were a good shop a long time ago, but now they are just terrible.

Don't take my previous comment the wrong way brother. Is nothing against you and if i were in your shoes i would have done the same thing as you just move forward with it. No one knew the damn kit wouldn't fit properly like most LHD kits do. With your experience now others will know about it. Like Chuck said..AAM use to be a very good shop but their quality has become very poor over the last few years compare to other shops.
