Where's the updated info on this completed system? I'd love to know more about this before pulling the trigger

Well my RHD kit is installed finally.

Let's just say it was basically a LHD kit that required a huge amount of modifications/fab work to fit on RHD. It was in no way a RHD bolt-on!

On a positive note, the quality of the kit is pretty good.

That's disappointing that the kit required much modification to fit your RHD car when it's sold as a RHD kit, but glad you got it sorted.

I got it sorted for sure, but at what cost? It was huge to have a LHD kit fit our RHD veichle.

I am not the only one, there was another customer in QLD and another in UK who had similar and many issues with fitment.

Fitment might be fine for the LHD guys, but for us, it's a totally different story. :(

Anyways, I gotta be happy that we finally got there and it seems to be all good now, pending tune.

Glad you were able to sort things out but that's still a huge foul by AAM selling a kit that the customer have to make quite significant modifications to make it work. In my opinion that's unacceptable.

I too think it is not fair, but what can I do?

I have a feeling these RHD kits so far that I know of were prototypes, and still being properly developed for RHD by AAM. That's my guess.

They might have perfected it by now, but who knows?

Unfortunately that's pretty much par for the course with AAM. They were a good shop a long time ago, but now they are just terrible.

Don't take my previous comment the wrong way brother. Is nothing against you and if i were in your shoes i would have done the same thing as you just move forward with it. No one knew the damn kit wouldn't fit properly like most LHD kits do. With your experience now others will know about it. Like Chuck said..AAM use to be a very good shop but their quality has become very poor over the last few years compare to other shops.

Quality as in product quality or customer service quality?

I think the product itself is really high in quality, but the customer service has not been the best to deal with. They barely reply to my e-mail or phone calls these days. :(

It doesn't matter, I have the kit on and it is working as intended for now. I just hope that if something goes awry with anything to do with the kit, that they are going to be there to support me.

Sorry to dig up an old thread. How has this stood up to the test of time? Do you have some more detail on what didnt fit?

There's a reason this thread has been abandoned... AAM is garbage. Stay away :eekdance:

Not to mention there’s no way Shadow hasn’t wrecked the car and/or grenaded the motor by now.
