Speed Density Sensors

5 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys

We are currently considering on, via EcuTek, switch to Speed Denisty.
EcuTek offers this option.

I'm looking for the suitable sensors for this application !?
In particular, a very fast-response temperature sensor.

Has someone from the "BIG BOOST" people a good suggestion for me?

The following sensors found so far:

MAP Sensor:

AMS Alpha 4 Bar MAP Sensor

AAM 4 Bar MAP Sensor

AIT Sensor (Fast Response!!):

Bosch

GM Delphi

AIT/MAP Sensor (Combined):

If someone has a good experience, I would be happy about an answer!

Many thanks for the Support :tiphat:

I'm using the GTR 4 bar map sensor.

Omni Power 4bar has been a very proven set up for us.

Shoot me a PM and I would love to answer any questions you may have.

GTR/juke map sensor would work fine.

I was using the AMS 4 bar sensor but switched to a Haltech 3 bar sensor with an inline filter. Although you might not be able to tell the difference driving, your ECU can tell a huge difference between the two.

I have AMS alpha 4bar

Thanks Guys

I really appreciate it! :tiphat::tup:

The Omni or AMS 4 bar MAP sensor are the way to go. We've been tuning cars with a MAF/MAP hybrid via ECUTek for several months now. Sebastian at SpecialtyZ has it very dialed in. Your tuner will need to re-calibrate the MAP sensor once installed. I have a link to our site featuring the AMS MAP sensor and calibration chart.

Speed Density Sensors

Interesting... So how does this work with ECUtek? Meaning, what's the process of doing this? And what are the benefits?

STILLEN SC....

We will drive a higher BOOST-Pressure (only a Little bit ;)) in the coming weeks/months!

Since the location of the MAF's in this kit is not optimal,
we decided to Speed Denisty (SD) convert.

And EcuTek delivers the "Specialty" for it
As Tony said before!

Im not sure what the benefits are for other people, but for me.. I maxed my mafs out at 5000rpm, so Sd tuning is the easiest way around it.

What's the process of switching? Obviously the MAP sensor. Is it wired into the MAF signal?

VSS370z 03-04-2016 07:27 PM

The shop i took the car recommended me installing the AMS 4 bar sensor so will see soon enough the results with ECUtek.

You just switch out the sensor and you are good to go. No additional wiring.
