Very nice!
Lets just make this clear this isnt my car.
That's an insane amount of power on stock. Did they just do a glory run with that then dial it back or does he plan on daily driving it with 770?
Very impressive. Any more details on this build? I don't have facebook so not sure if I need an account to view. Awesome numbers!
 whoa! that is insane!!!
Just a matter of time till it goes to 0 WHP.
There would be someone with a higher number they just never made it to the dyno. I think they said it was accidentally running around 20+psi. |
I can ask for more details.
How much boost was they running and what was the torque? I'm not on facecrap.

It will hold. The torque is what matters.
HP is the product of torque, compounded by engine speed. They keep the torque "low" by clearly ramping in the boost with engine speed. On the street, the Z will never hook up well enough to load the engine to this power anyway. Consider that the car will rarely have the opportunity to load the engine this much on the street, and how limited the track mileage will be relative... the engine has a shot at lasting quite a long time IMHO. I say well done. Hopefully this will inspire a lot of you guys to move to the good gas (e85) and buy lots of fuel systems (:)) and get a real boost controller in your cars and start cranking that power. This car will be insanely quick if they decide to take it to the track. I think I read its a T1 employees car... so we might start seeing a 370z actually get put to work in some high-power activities! |

Charles, the tuner who tuned that car is my tuner Rob Harper, we have talked several times in taking my car to the 700 mark, come February im taking the car up to GA add new clutch, new boost controller and e85. |
Gosh, wonder what it would be like to daily drive one. I know it won't max out everyday, but the slightly extra oomph would be ludicrous. I hardly exceed 5 PSI on a daily basis, but if it makes gobs more power I'd be thrilled.
That was my car. Made 768.7hp/581tq at 16 psi on a mainline hub dyno. Once it warms up, I'll be at the track to try to set some more records. :ughdance:

T1 didn't do any work to the car. I did most of the work myself and had friends do what I can't.
The transmission is stock which will be more than ok. It does have a Tilton triple clutch. And the power it made was because of the tune. By using the ecu to control boost, Rob could keep torque low and make a horsepower up top. |
