That is with 18" rims and long tube headers. I assume it would make less with the regular 19" rims and regular stock headers.

Anyone know why it lost torque below 3000 rpm?

wilsonp 06-01-2011 05:41 PM

Giant restriction in the intake path? When the turbo isn't turning fast enough, I could see that being a problem unless it had some type of bypass.

jnaut 06-01-2011 06:13 PM

nope its restriction in the exhaust system... its called a turbo

Well that's not good considering our cars aren't that great in the low end.

A larger single turbo setup will always have more lag than two smaller turbos in a twin turbo setup. You have to make compromises: if you want high end power, you almost always sacrifice low end torque but if you want low-mid range power, you sacrifice peak power.

slip the clutch a little more agressively, and you will be outside of the 3k...

I doubt you will notice a difference under 3k at all driving normal or on the drag strip.

I'm interested.

Is anyone bothered by the pipe that shows right in the middle from the back with this kit? I think it looks good except for that.

Not really I'm more concerned with that video posted earlier where it sounds like bees in a can. Other than that video the exhaust sounds nice. I
Personnaly getting this kit in the next year or so.

GingaBreadMan 06-07-2011 07:07 PM

I like the power and the price, but the exhaust sounds awful.

GingaBreadMan 06-29-2011 12:01 PM

I decided to purchase the kit, just have to find a shop to install it.
