I lost faith in anything they do when I couldnt even get a pulley from them after being promised it. A pulley! Now they want to sell custom manifolds. With their track record for customer support and thievery.... facepalm

I'll make this offer to anyone interested in a kit.

I will personally go to GTM and pickup your kit, make sure all the parts are there, and ship it for you.
If you have been around long enough, you should know not to trust GTM. If you aren't local, and you aren't picking up a kit that's ON THE SHELF, do not buy a kit. And I have a good friend that worked at GTM, so I love the products (IF they ever arrive, and I love the old staff, I just wouldn't trust GTM as far as I could throw Sam.)

That being said, I think I'm one of the most trustworthy members here, and I'm around... 70 miles from GTM, make it worth my time (gas money), and I'll ensure all your parts are boxed up and ready to go.
In my mind, I'll go to GTM, make sure your parts are ready, then I'll give the go ahead to wire Sam the money, and I'll package up your parts and ship them myself (my shipping discount is pretty good)


Now Sam, I know you will read this. Please do not take offense. This arrangement I'm proposing will make your business name more "reliable" in the car world. And if you want to partially sponsor a kit... I'm your guy! Lol
But honestly, not trying to bash although my previous statement says otherwise. I just know GTM could be bigger than ever, you just need a trustworthy person. I hope to be the link between your company and your customers. I do not intend to make money off these kits

And Tony FI, I know your kit kicks serious áss, but people will buy GTM stuff regardless of the info that's out there. I'm JUST trying to help members out.

Boxes have ROCKS in them LOL :/ UG here we go again with GTM, Yes the stuff was A++ but they have taken alot of peoples $$$, They should either give them back the $$ the took for their group buy that they never delivered or send them these "kits" first before selling anything. Make good on what you messed up first before you sell anything. Just my .02.

I saw the post on FB. Honestly I'm surprised to see it. For all those who are still owed kits or money, hopefully Sam does make good on his promise to make it right.

not sure that the past can be made up, even if the people are returned their money. sure they'll have their money, but how long has it been. when i joined this forum the problem with gtm was already there and ever since then they have gotten a negative image.

they need to convince people as to why would we give our money to a product that we may never receive and if we do receive it, when/if something breaks we may never be able to get a replacement.

How about they send out the kits first and if the customer is happy then they pay?

Saw this on FB also. Laughed and completely forgot about it. Just let em go quietly into the night. No real reason for this thread in the first place. Just gonna be a drama chaos thread. Still talking about "making it right" a year later from when he was supposed to make it right back then.

After what Sam did to everyone who in their right minds would thin he's gonna make up for it? Mike @ GTM the ex-employee gave a very detailed info post about the character of Sam and his business practices.

Consider yourself taken-up-on-it... I was just thinking to myself I was going to have to fly down there and ship it back to myself to feel good about paying up and then I scrolled to your post.

I joined the groupbuy on the layaway plan so I had a fraction of the price invested.. when no one could get their money out, I figured what the hell.. I'll just keep waiting and see if it ever actually happens. Looks like the odds of it happening have rocketed from 0% to 0.5%.

You should consider your original investment gone, but you might get a break on their new kit (in my mind)

But hey, give Sam a call. If it's ready, I'm ready to drive out :tup:

I hope not! I used to call every few months and Sam assured me :rolleyes: that it was still coming.. though I probably haven't called in about 6 months. You're probably right - I guess I won't know until I make several hundred phone calls.

they didn't give too many details in the posts and pics regarding dates

what year do they plan releasing this? are they implying 2015???

It is stated on GTM Facebook page. Sam is sending out kits to customers that he owes And to some other buyers.

Sam is the face of the company but he isn't the owner any longer. And the policies have changed regarding purchasing kits from them. You can order only if they have it in stock and the payment is not due until the kit Is ready to be shipped that day.

Check out GTM V3 kit announcement on FB. The Boogeyman man is for
Real. He is offering the GT-R manifolds with the V3 kit as an option.

Just an update for anyone who might be following my situation. I exchanged a couple of emails with Sam about my deposit on the group buy, and he went ahead and called me last night. He said that I am still part of the group buy, and that my deposit (layaway plan) is still good, and that I only owe the balance remaining for the group buy price.

He was hesitant to give a date when the first batch will be ready (understandable for pretty much everyone now I would assume), but I asked him to take a "wild guess" and he said about 2 weeks would be the soonest. I told him I would rather wait for the first batch to start shipping out so I can hear some feedback from the first round of customers, and that I also wanted to review the completed installation instructions. He was OK with that.

If the 2 week estimate turns out to be accurate, and everything looks copacetic I'd probably look to complete my order in a couple of months.

Between all that and DE's offer to pick up and ship, I'd feel comfortable sending them more money. That's a lot of "if's" and "when's"... but it does appear that my odds of getting a kit are higher now than they were a week ago, though how much I couldn't speculate.

^Sorry to say it, but you're better off sending me the money...
Or sending the money to GTM, if, and only if I'm standing in front of your kit.

That is exactly what I plan to do - wire it over while you stand there with your hand on the kit.

As much problem GTM has been no vendor can Touch their Products. I am not saying that they have not mislead out members but we also aren't aware of who GTM has reimbursed monetarily.

In the End this is SAM and Co. Final opportunity to make things right for their own sake.

Have you seen some of the cars FI have delivered?
