Ok..Here we go, FI or AAM?

I've read almost the entire thread on both, they are both amazing kits, love em. Trying to figure out which one is for me, and I'm sure it's completely going to be opinion, but for those that already have the kit, why you go one or the other? AAM seems to have higher dyno #'s (going off pump gas #'s), easier install, but FI has more material out there it appears. Could be bc AAM just hasn't been out quite as long. Any input would be amazingly appreciated and I'm hoping that current owners will love the chance to proudly talk about their ride. Thanks guys!! :happydance:

Also, I'm on the fence of both, this one gorgeous video might have converted me to FI. As "ricer" as I might sound here, I really think one of the best things of going Forced Induction is the sound. :D Turbo AND BOV (AAM has CRV)

**No disrespect to either company, you both have some amazing quality kits, I read so many great things, now I'm hoping to get a side by side comparison.

Went with Fast Intentions and in terms of BOV sound they are pretty damn loud to me and i love it every time plus it seems to scare people when i pass them by haha. I went with FI simply because i already had a great experience in buying their exhaust system plus the quality of it was great and their customer service sold me from the start so i knew i would go back for more. What i like the most is that Tony doesn't try to sell you parts just for the sake of it, he tells you what would work best for your goals and if some parts are just a waste of money for your build he will tell you straight up. Still i think you can't go wrong with either kit! :tiphat:

as a supporter of both companies it's hard for me to pick one or the other.

both kits are amazing and beautiful. i'd be happy to put either one on my car.

but honestly if I were purchasing a TT kit right now as you are I would be calling Tony and choosing FI.

either way you really can't go wrong.

There is no question, Fast Intentions! Tony and the guys build without a doubt the best product for our platform. It would most likely be the kit I'd be running if they had a G option.

Go with FI and don't look back!

Fast Intentions all the way. I'm not too blown away with how AAM (didn't) handle a problem with a local guy's turbo kit. No one has ever had anything bad to say about Fast Intentions customer service.

The AAM kit's turbos has built in BOVs and waste gates... I'd pass for that reason alone.
Imagine, one goes out... Drop the motor

They also didn't live up to a exhaust replacement due to fitment issues.

Not bashing AAM just pointing out a fact from a close friend's personal experience.

FI or AAM can't go wrong with the outcome when it comes to power. Both perform well, but to me it's all about comfort in the after sale.

Support is key for any purchase, you have to make sure if you need extra parts or replacements in the future that the company is their to support you. My suggestion is speak to who ever is doing the work. If they have above business agreement over one company compared to the other than that's who I would go with.

Once again BOTH company's are great! IMO AAM TT kit looks well made, and 609whp at 9PSI sounds like a winner in my book, and FI beating records left/right on stock block looks great too.

Just make sure you're taken care of down the road compared to what's the better deal in the short term.

mine are custom top mounts. cost extra, but worth it.

F.I. gets my vote for both quality, and customer service. Put the two together and you get to have your cake and eat it to.

As you said, the internal BOV's and wastegates would make me nervous, and Tony stands behind his product 100% which doesn't seem to be the case with AAM. Also, being right around the corner from them definitely helps. Not bashing AAM, just saying which one I would go with if I had to do it again and wasn't the prototype car.

That definitely has something to do with it :driving: I also haven't seen a kit that matches the responsiveness of the F.I. kit. This thing drives better then any boosted car I have driven from the factory including GTRs, AMGs, M cars, etc.

F.I. fan boy for life :rofl2:

Boost is boost, but PSI leaving from the housing to the engine makes a world of a different...

If piping is wired correctly power bands will increase with a lower PSI.

If money grew in my backyard. I'd pull my GTM kit...

:iagree:

If the FI kit was available one year earlier I'd have gone that route instead of GTM for sure.

Seems like they were a year or so behind for both of us
